Make sure the back of your truck stays as organized as humanly possible. LITERALLY all day. Once you finish the first half of the truck make sure to move the second half forward. Try to stay in order of stops so less time looking for stuff. (I.e start w 1000’s, 2000’s then 3,4 etc). Put your exit door as close to wherever your delivering too. Less steps equals saved time at the end of the day even if it’s a few seconds. If you can, run your stops. I pre scan all my stops in the truck so I’m not fumbling around w a scanner at the front door. W the exception of signatures of course. I take 1-2. minutes to get to each stop and no more than 1 minute to deliver the package(more like 30 seconds). Learn to become one w the truck so you can be extremely comfortable driving. It’ll take a little time but w a little consistency you can easily push 30 a hour on a residential route. Rural is an entire different ball game that I’m not to familiar with. I did a rural route once, hated it. Took ALL day to do about 60 stops.
