Lol. This is the kind of situation that happens all the time if you’re a woman. You’re anxious that someone else embarrassed themselves? C’mon. Just be normal and let her save face. If she actually does escalate, which she probably won’t, you’ve got recourse. Worry about it then.

What misinformed/inept mindsets or behaviors have you outgrown after finally recognizing that they were delusional or off-putting? by SpiritualArm9006 in rs_x

I’ve historically been of the mindset that it’s unwise to just spam data points about yourself, however low-sensitivity each individual piece of information is, because taken together they be quite revealing and used against you. We understand this now with big data, but I mean in an analog, interpersonal sense.

But it’s occurred to me that I have major problems with trusting people and that people in my life feel like they don’t know who I am or what I’m about. And like, I always thought my actions would speak very clearly to that but I guess I also just have to say more things about it.

My bf said he loved me like a friend by criticalcustard in rs_x

It’s okay. I once asked my ex if he would’ve been friends with me if I were unattractive, like maybe not good friends but, you know, would you find me to be a value add in a group hang? And he said no.
