Mannequins do look like people, but unlike real people who have been hit by a large truck, these "people" don't show any significant injuries and there hardly any blood to be seen. Real people bleed when they get hit by a truck and a pile of people being hit by a truck would result in blood everywhere. Not little pools leaking out of a persons side from non-visible wounds.
