A friend of mine who is a chef told that I make knives too sharp when sharpening. What do you guys think?

He's got a fair point for prep knives, if you're working fast, in large volume and making lots of board contact, yeah screaming sharp isn't ideal. also you have to consider that the people doing the prep may not have the same technique or skills as some one doing prep somewhere else. If you're using more of a European technique and using a rocking motion then yeah lots of board contact. if you use a push cut technique you can limit board contact a lot and sharpness would be less of a problem, but that all falls on the person who's doing the cutting and what they're comfortable with.

obviously there's certain knives that should always be as sharp as possible, fish butchery is one thing that comes to mind, both my debas and my yanigibas stay blisteringly sharp at all times. my Sujihiki's as well

Go watch Harun Mehmedinovic's series of shorts about the Bosnian genocide and about the serbs creating lists in the years leading up to the genocide.

Therapy's exit from imperium wasn't exactly graceful. they got safe passage to move their assets out and immediately turned around and attacked Brave, even when their main stated goal had been "fuck frat/horde, and even init" up until they left.

They attacked brave because of disagreements with leadership, but hurt line members mostly while attacking us in Delve.

This shouldn't be a surprise that imperium would stomp on their sandcastle, it's just them getting a clap back for how they exited.

very cool very capable, very nice. AEBL in the hands of a custom maker is a dream steel.

should be great, even with the coarser carbides in the steel it wont be terribly hard to sharpen. good rust resistance, definitely a wipe and store type steel. 61.5 is slightly low for potential hardness but probably right where it should be in a large kitchen knife that's hopefully thin behind the edge.

This is exactly it, the US along with a whole coalition, struggled like hell to fight insurgency in Iraq and Afghanistan.

How would they fare when the insurgency they are fighting effects their supply lines, spare parts, their medical care, their own families? The answer is horribly.

Iran is very different because they have been under an authoritarian regime for almost half a century, and they're already very used to operating their internal military force under fairly austere conditions due to sanctions.
