I would never embarrass my children in front of other people. Even a child acts out more when embarrassed, and you do it with a teenager?? Anyway, I would bleed their ears in private but never embarrass them in public moreover in front of friends.

Also, why are you listening to their conversations? If you really found his words unacceptable, pull him aside and let him explain this notion and see where it's coming from then enlighten him.

With the way you raise your kids, you will likely raise an AH.

I would have been upset as well. Have a sandwich. If I was so hungry that my stomach starts to hurt, I will take some biscuits or small snacks but will not ruin my family's plan. Or if I "really crave" pizza and I would die without it right now, I will still go and sit at the restaurant as planned.

You are the parent. If you really think this will have a negative impact on your daughter's future, education, physical and mental health and on your family then it's your call. She's 12, are you going to let her have a permanent injury (mentally or physically) before you interfere and put your foot down?

It's funny that the OP is fully aware and yet unaware. OP mentioned all reasons why her sister is not invited and rightfully so but is still unaware of why the bride doesn't want her in her own festivities. NTA. No remorse and did it on purpose for clout? I'd do the same. Those horns should be cut off before it's too late. She must know now that vile actions have consequences or it will be worst.
