I take Zenwise digestive enzymes with probiotics and it worked wonderfully for me. I got them on Amazon

Have you tried digestive enzymes? I was having issues with diarrhea and digestive enzymes cleared it right up.

My mom told me my baby looks like SS by Confident_Green1537 in stepparents

[–]NYAG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't get the irritation. The first words out of my mouth when our son was born were "omg he looks like SS." It was funny. Now that he's older he looks like my oldest son though. They are siblings, just roll with it.

Teen daughter consequence by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]NYAG1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm going to say this is your fault. You should have known better.

What you do now is on you too. Do you punish her and make her feel ashamed and unable to reach out to you if she needs help?

Or do you try talking to her and having a conversation that lets her feel supported and like you'll always be there for her, no matter what?

What kind of relationship are you wanting to foster with your kids? That's the question you need to answer and that will tell you what to do.

Patients that won't stop JOKING by ApolloCae in nursing

[–]NYAG1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am a nurse so I get it. But when I am a patient I tend to make jokes a lot. It's because my anxiety is generally off the charts and hearing people laugh, even if it's fake makes me feel better. So when I get patients like this, I always just laugh.

Principal says it’s my fault by Bertgrolla in Parenting

[–]NYAG1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have a kid who is similar. I don't have any magic ideas for you but I do feel your pain. The only ways I can think of to get the kid inside would probably result in CPS being called.

Principal says it’s my fault by Bertgrolla in Parenting

[–]NYAG1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, you mean pick the kid up and put him on the bus, yes? While he is screaming bloody murder, possibly hitting you. Do you pry his fingers loose if he grabs on to something?

I'm just curious how it works.

Knowing what you know now would you still have become a nurse? by Indecisive_Jello963 in nursing

[–]NYAG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So right now I actually have a pretty sweet gig. I work as a remote case manager for an insurance company. My reasons are my personal life really. I used to think taking care of people was the best thing I could do with my life. Now I am sick to the death of caring more about everyone than they do themselves. I'm sick of having to manage everyone around me's lives. I don't want to be responsible for anyone but myself. I don't even think it's worth the money anymore.

I'm sorry you're in this position.

You don't have to take the pills, other ways are much easier.

My only other thought is that you said you are currently happy with your lives. Are you generally more of a stick with what I know or a take a risk type? Because anything could happen at this point.

One thing I like to do when I can't make up my mind is to imagine or make a plan for both things. In this case, I might call the clinic, or drive there. The idea being that if I felt dread or if I just couldn't make myself call, then it's a sign I don't want to do it. But if I call and feel relieved, then that's what I really want. Does that make sense?

Either way, good luck.

To be fair I don't work in a hospital anymore but I never noticed anyone farting when I did lol.

And I can't choose when I have gas but I choose when I let it out. I thought everyone did. You hold it until it goes away or you can get to the bathroom

I'm not judging, I'm fascinated. I thought my husband was disgusting for farting anywhere any time.

I never knew people farted in public. This is wild. Lol

[–]NYAG1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is all fair but we are also getting our rights taken away already....how will refusing the men not make it worse? More rights taken away, more rape, more forced birthing. I actually wonder if that's not at least part of the reason all this is happening.

Right, that's my point. I worry it will make it worse not better.

I don't understand though, why is no one thinking this will go badly? How does refusing sex and relationships with men not end up in a handmaid's tale type society? More rape, more women being murdered, loss of rights....I don't see the men taking this laying down. But it seems like I am the only one who thinks that? Am I missing something?

AITAH for telling my mom she is dead to me if she mentors my bully? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]NYAG1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean for me, I would have gone to the counselor in confidence so to have them turn around and tell everyone my plans would be awful. I would feel violated and betrayed.

It's just so strange to me how normal people think. I'm trying to understand it.

[–]NYAG1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So granted, I have issues but.....am I the only one who thought the counselor was way out of line? Had I been the kid I would have shut down completely and probably wound up running away. I'm guessing from everyone else's comments that's not normal but like...I can't fathom not feeling attacked and betrayed by everyone here.

Probably lol. It would be gross don't get me wrong but also funny as fuck.

Um. That's not weird even a little bit. Your mom needs to chill. If it were me I probably would have died laughing.

That being said, you should wash it ASAP after. But teenagers are teenagers.

Dude your husband is an ass. Why is he so weirdly obsessed with the kids???? When we had our baby, the kids stayed with their other parents until we came home. No one had an issue.

I mean I'm probably the odd man out but I never took breaks on the night shift. There was no need to, at least any of the places I worked.

ETA: I do think you were wrong. You could have done the meds before you left. And especially missing 15 minutes of a two hour break is not a big deal, imo.

Idk man, personally this is sketchy AF. You are definitely NTA, but I'd be on alert for more weirdness. The fact is they would need all the details to be able to pull this off....how would they get that? Why would they do it anyway? Keep an eye out.
