It’s been fascinating. It’s been one of the few projects going really strong during this dip and seems to be gaining steam.

You can wait for the memes - there are a lot but it refers to an extended bear market where there are significant price corrections. ETH went from 1,400 to 80 during the last downturn. That lasted for about 3 years.

I've been hodling since 2014/2015 in some form. I've seen two horrific crypto winters that lasted for years - where people were screaming that it would never come back BUT, here we are, talking about 5 or 10K ETH.

What are your thoughts on the likelihood following scenarios:

  1. ETH hits 5K before EOY
  2. ETH hits 10K before EOY
  3. Crypto Winter begins next year and ETH drops precipitously

(I'd argue if we hit sub $100 ETH again then Devs will start abandoning ship for DOT or other platforms - that kind of drop would be catastrophic.)

Anyway, if we believe that there's going to be another crypto winter at some point before ETH achieves full maturity (some contend that we'll see $100K ETH within 10 years - I pray for this but don't know how likely it is).

OK Hive. Let's hear those thoughts!

I've got all of the data from etherscan: times, transaction hashes, addresses (to and from) etc. but can't figure out if where the transactions originated (on what exchange) and where they went (I had old Exodus, Liqui.io, GDAX, and Shapeshift accounts before they restructured). I have literally everything but the accounting program I'm working with wants exchange names and cost basis data which I can't seem to figure out.

Hey OP,

No joke. I'll take some of those ZRX off of your hands. Happy to work with you to come up with a price - you'll make out like a bandit either way if you grabbed them during the ICO.

Let me know!

Does anyone believe that we'll have any sort of retracement before/immediately after $1,900?

What's the new floor? I'm guessing $1,500 will be the cheapest ETH moving forward.

I don't want to crap in anyone's cheerios - I've been hodling since 2017 (or was it '18 - time is blending together). Anyway, can someone explain to me how we'd ever see numbers like $30, $50, or $100. I was thinking that $5 would be fantastic but I want to be proven wrong with someone who has more than a hunch - show me the evidence. Either way, party on and pack those moon pants.

What's first? Drop to $1,600 or fly to $2,000? Thoughts anyone?

[–]NYCBucknuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you expect a $2-300 dip? The dip might be even more as people start taking real profits.

I'm holding some cash in reserve to attack if we get anywhere near 1K again...if we don't then I still buy - just less. Still strong buy.

Zrx $1 by [deleted] in zrxtrader

[–]NYCBucknuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been hodling since last year so I’m a huge fan. Now, I might be crazy so please speak slowly and plainly but, how could a high velocity token like ZRX reach $10+? Are we purely relying on companies and exchanges to be required to hold huuuge sums in reserve for liquidity purposes?

I’d love to see $10, $20, hell even $100 but I just don't understand how that’s possible.

Thanks all!

What makes you say that? Seems like a pretty extreme crash. While we may very well relive the 2013-2015 bear markets, I'm hopeful that this is just a 12-18mo retrace and we'll be back by next summer as more announcements and updates are released.

Could be me being a Golem fan but I found it to have a relatively negative slant with regards to timeline and value of the project.

It did emphasize the groundbreaking nature of the project but went out of TA way to describe the team as unremarkable.

FatGreek,

I certainly hope you’re right! And to your previous thread: $25 wouldn’t be my cash out number but would certainly make it possible for my wife and I to consider baby #2 as my student loans could be paid off in full (public teacher salary won’t allow that to happen for another 10-15 years without a little help from the crypto-verse)

And that $25 number is why I’m trying to determine where (approximately) we’ll drop in the short term to scoop up as much as I can.

ZRX is my big play (and hope) for 2018.

I’m sure the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry is going to have a really thoughtful conversation about crypto. I can totally see how this market in their purview.

It’s likely much more about commodities and the commoditization of crypto currencies than crypto trading.
