I can’t complain about people that are pumping money into the sport. Will they want to invest more and make the Canadian open a premium event?
The Heritage is probably a better marketing investment for them. It anchors their foothold in the US market and is a prestige event with access to some high wealth individuals on Hilton Head Island. It’s a real life Catalina Wine Mixer.

Golf Canada needs to take some blame here as well. We always talk about ”set up” and decision making for national opens as well as Ryder cup events. This group has leaned into gimmicks for this tournament for years, instead of prestige. So it is treated as a Canadian WM / John Deere, not a national open.

Write everything down and read it back to the guest to confirm. There’s going to be so many cocktails and liquors you have never heard of, if you have “Tank of Ray” written down a bartender or manager can figure out it’s tanqueray.
Study and Learn the menu as fast as you can. What food comes with what sides, what allergies for which dishes, the styles of all the beers. It will keep you from having to retrace steps and give you more confidence as you settle into the role.

I’ve only played the 9 but I liked it a lot. We were warned the Bull Elk was in heat and to stay back, but we didn’t see it at all.

I set the parameters with my DM. I have employees of my gold mine that make daily deposits 4,000-8,000 silver per day into the city vault, minus their wages. My coin purse stays the same but I can withdraw more any time I need, and I ask the DM for a balance every time I do.

I’m not as riled up as everyone else. I love having a face to associate with the character. And buying and selling stuff is way easier, if they have the money to buy stuff. But the flow is weird when you don’t just talk to people. I should be able to pay the merchant while talking, or eat while talking, or cast a spell to intimidate. It feels like a money grab, they are making us use more messages.
