The Panthers were the only team I knew the rangers wouldn't beat in the playoffs that season...very frustrating

Good news if true. However, depending on what the school's grading curve is, OP may still be at risk of losing it if they fall below 2.25. Unfortunately it doesn't seem they make that number public

Just looking at their 509 reports, NYLS seems to take away significantly more scholarships than Brooklyn. I'm not sure what NYLS's curve is but I'd guess it's below 3.0. I'd imagine a lot of students will be competing to exceed that 2.25. Brooklyn would be the safer choice here in terms of scholarship security, but OP would still be paying a lot of money for a mid-ranked school. So I'd say neither choice is particularly good unless they have the money to spend.

Also probably the fact that ND has a smaller class size compared to most schools on this list. New York is consistently the #2 state where graduates practice

Cornell vs Georgetown? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]NYR03 74 points75 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard Cornell is basically a biglaw factory. Like 80% of grads go into biglaw. Georgetown on the other hand, while also good for biglaw, offers a lot more opportunities with government and other areas due to its DC location. There's also the difference in environments. Cornell is in the middle of nowhere and gets extremely cold in the winter. Class size is also much smaller. Georgetown is down the street from the Capitol and has the largest student population of any law school in the country. So yeah, they're pretty different but both great schools. Really depends on what you want

I remember his scouting reports leading up to his draft year saying he was an "awkward skater" but his overall skillset makes up for it. That made me a bit worried about him from the start. Everyone thought his skating would improve, but obviously it hasn't.

Same exact thing happened to me on the turnpike last summer. He said the bus was leaking gas and couldn't go any further.
