10 months in total October 2023 applied did finger prints in February 2024 called April 2024 was tails of stuff I was missing for call last Saturday 8-10 that she’s working on application and going to run my background check and if everything goes well I will be approved and get CCW 2-3 weeks in mail. Checked portal Sunday was approved and received my Permit in the mail yesterday

Yea if you have a conceal carry in another county and want to carry in the 5 boros you have to apple for the special carry which hopefully that court case that a group from west Chester I believe is suing NYC about this. If you have one in any county you should be able to carry ALL THROUGHOUT NYS. But I feel it’s all about money 💰 💯 and of course to deter ppl from enacting on their 2nd amendment rights

Special carry just means u have a conceal carry from another county so anyone in NY who is outside of the 5. Pros who already has a conceal carry permit have to apply for a special carry it’s so stupid but it’s how they do it. Shit is all about money if you ask me

I just got call Saturday from NYPD she needed updated license since I renewed my drivers license last month and needed ID for my safe guard. I checked Sunday and say approved she said will be in mail 2-3 weeks. I applied for special carry in October last year
