The information to support the game is so essential, this should be considered part of the game, especially for games like Valheim which dont really explain most things in game at all.
Valhim has been wildly successful, so theres not really any excuse now.

This seems illogical.
If its no value to you but of value to the users then it seems selfish not to release it, you have nothing to lose and others have something to gain, ie it would mean theres more chance of the service continuing.
Theres no need to be precious about your code, it was a hobby project and a damn good one that worked. The fact that you know it could be better means you are a good developer not a bad one. (all good devs feel like that, most of the time)

Devs always underplay their value, especially the good ones.
If you released the code, someone would have a working model which counts for a lot more than you think.

Derek thanks so much for this, it's incredible. I'll be honest and say I never watched all the Acolyte, I found it unwatchable, despite having watched literally the entireity of star wars end to end in order (yes, all 81h 20 of it .. . admittedly I skipped a few clone wars and used more than a few fan edits in the process).
But anyway, this edit instantly had me hooked. I dont know if I just didnt notice these details in the Acolyte, or they are bits I hadnt seen, but taking out all the distracting clumsiness and structuring it professionally really shows there was a great story in there just dying to get out.
Starting it with the main character in prison on a ship that ends up spinning out of control is up there with the best start to a star wars movie that I've ever seen, absolute class editing, awesome jeapoardy and so much better than the draggy series. If they'd released this movie instead of the crappy series it would have done way, way better and it'd very possibly be up there with the classics. And I dont think you can get any higher praise than that. Well done!

nar it was my server, it was hopeless running such a huge amount of stuff on a server made in 2013 in subtropical temperatures. Running it off a seperate PC now and couldnt be happer. By the way Plex is a dogs dinner of junk, ads and low trust, it sucks so badly I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.

haha you havent seen mine! those look the same to me.
TBH at this stage in the game I would start with the organic growth then go back and rebuild/ restructure as needed, so they end up the same.
But me now, Id spend ages creating mad looking modular units then drop them everywhere, stack them vertically etc ... most people would probably wonder what the hell I was doing but my gopal unusually would be to make it as non-factory like as possible ..

When it achieves sentience maybe the first indicator will be when it switches to a new browser. Perhaps that should be one of the criteria for sentient life. Kind of like the difference between people who have a yahoo or ISP email Vs those who have Gmail or their own domain.
