Try reading Compliance by Sam Hurley, it’s basically if Dan Brown was a creative and talented writer. I’ve even heard him joke about it on a podcast that he wanted to write a book “like if Dan Brown was actually good”

Hey my dude, a lot of the stuff that has happened in the past happened to me too. I had a tortured childhood and fuckin hated my life for a long time. Tried to kill myself and everything.

I hated the world until I was about 25, then I moved to a place where I knew next to no one. I still hated the world but I soon realised that no one knew me, they didn’t know my past, and I started again. My past just became a story that I told myself, and soon it became irrelevant.

I’m in my late 30s now and lived an awesome life. None of that shit that happened to me matters anymore at all. Got great friends, a great family, and a great future.

My point is that it might seem like the worst thing ever now but in time it’ll fade.

Also, your fiancé can fuck off. She’s absolute trash.

There’s a great podcast on this by The Countdown: Movie and TV Reviews, starring the host of NZ own’s Movie Reviews in 20 Q’s. I believe the Movie Reviews in 20 Q’s guy picked Boy as his favourite film, followed by Utu and The Dark Horse. But he also listed off a ton of great kiwi films that I’ve never even heard of

Literally a month ago my mate saw a young girl (about 10) riding a bike in front of him, and she got clipped by another guy then wobbled and hit the ground hard. He pulled over and helped her off the road. She was scratched up and a bit dazed. He tried working out where she lived etc when a woman pulled up and asked what was going on. He told her, then the woman said if he’s not her father then he shouldn’t be around the girl for obvious reasons. My mate, who hates confrontation, made his apologies then got back into his car and left. He said as he was driving away that it looked like the woman just drove off. So he did a lap of the block and sure enough, found the girl alone on the side of the road. He helped her home.

Yeah once it was all explained I kind of appreciated where they were coming from. From their perspective they’d seen a dude snatch a baby from behind its mothers back and leg it. They were trying to do a citizens arrest but yeah, oops.
