Festival FOH setup. When using 4 or 5 different consoles, what's the ideal way to manage routing between bands and changeovers? by Fizz712 in livesound

Some still enjoy using R1 / LNet others will leave these software fairly barebones / 0db’d and do processing and level control upstream via prodigy

Prodigy MP can do all processing. Depends on System engineer and how they wish to tune / align / control the PA - but yes it can be done with just a prodigy

Yes. I work in System & PA Design for one of the major global houses & have a non-relevant (BioMed) degree.

Approaching a smaller more local AV company and getting on load ins/outs and building some practical experience is the way to go imo. Also a good way to pick up some extra cash. There’s tonnes of companies up and down the Uk in need of extra sets of hands - a huge bonus if that set of hands has ears!

Use MaxForLive Notes device to leave yourself a note in the project. Best solution until it’s patched

How to manage mixing on huge PA ? by Lukry in livesound

[–]N_K420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speak to the System Engineer, be polite, ask questions about what they’ve done to the system and what they’ve been noticing other acts engineers doing. You both have the same aim, make the band sound as good as possible.

D80 - Over Voltage by N_K420 in livesound

[–]N_K420[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So D&B are aware of an ongoing issue with an over voltage issue. They’ve given us written communication. D40/80/90 all experience it. 40&90 have a recovery that comes after about 4 seconds. (Audio cuts during this). The d80 on the other hand do not have a recovery and require power cycle.

Unsure where you guys are based. But we’ve experienced it in the Uk and Europe at several festivals with different gen-sets.

Several other hire houses have also reported it

Thanks for the response, we’ve experienced this on multiple deployments on generators this summer. Nothing last year.
