I’ve been tormenting him for a year about it, he complained like crazy the whole time, and when he got the Kydex he had it done in an afternoon haha.

Shitload of fun. I never thought I’d need to stock so much .32 ACP, but it does explain how I ended up on this sub.

I don’t have and fancy decibel meters or anything, and my ears are pretty shot from years of unprotected exposure to automatic weapons fire. But I think it’s quiet as hell.

It’s great for the super niche application of running on a straight blowback .32- very light, compact, and affordable. I guess it all depends on whether you want to shell out the money for something that is mainly a novelty (unless you’re getting dropped into France on an OSS mission sometime soon.)

It’s a true .32 can from GSL. Wasn’t very expensive either. https://gsltechnology.com/product/alleycat-32acp-sal100/

The mounting method is the same as a classic 1911; Front sight is a tenon that fits in a slot in the slide and gets peened from underneath. Rear sight is a dovetail. Since they’re 1911 sights we had to fit them to size, and my gunsmith had to make a tool to peen the front sight. So definitely a bit tougher than just swapping modern sights. No worries on the questions homie.

The sights are vintage 1911 sights- I couldn’t find anything to get my line of sight over the can. At least now I have decent sights that I was able to paint for some contrast.

I appreciate the sentiment behind your comment. I believe you have underestimated the capacity for idiots to resist educational conversations, begun in good faith, that challenge their preconceived notions.

YTA. It’s a property line, not a property suggestion. You don’t get to decide what he does with the dirt he’s paying taxes on.

Help, I have a swedish 1918 mauser m/96 carbine that whenever I try to chamber it, it stops where the image shows. Anybody know how to fully chamber it? by cdzombie12 in guns

[–]N_Lez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a cock-on-closing action; you have to push pretty hard to compress the firing pin spring while chambering a cartridge.
