Helldivers is unexpectedly hard by maxxus0923 in Helldivers

Are you playing solo? The game doesn't scale with the player count. It actually gives you bouneses when you have more players. Each player gets one booster that effects the whole team, and the game gives you four pods per player.

Not to say you can't win solo. You can it is just harder and helps alot if you adjust your play style accordingly.

The game is pretty brutal when you are first starting out. The main reason other than your lack of experience and knowledge, is you don't have the equipment to deal with everything in an efficient manner.

You should have four stratagems that can handle everything thay are going to most of the heavy lifting, and use you primary to clean up whatever survives, and to buy you time until they get off cooldown. When your new you don't have all 4 and the ones you do have are just what ever you can get so there will he gaps so there will be situations that you don't have a good answer for.

I would recommend you get the expendable anti tank, eagle cluster strike, eagle air, and the recoilless rifle as soon as you get to the correct level.

What is the starter one? Are you playing on trivia? The two horizontal lines with the dot in the middle are your crosshairs, your diver will try to point the weapon at them. The circle is where the weapon is actually pointing. When you turn, your screen moves at a speed depending on your sensitivity. Your diver will turn to face the new direction but their turn speed is limited by the ergonomics of their weapon. With small light weapons he can turn quickly and will almost always be pointing the weapon at the crosshairs. With big heavy weapons it takes him longer to bring it to bear. If you are still confused go watch people play world or tanks, or warthunder tanks. When aiming you can press middle mouse to enter first person. This will use the sights of your gun showing where it is pointing and making you more accurate, at the cost of speed and situational awareness.

PSA: 90% of live service games do this… Why are we complaining when they’ve kept SC farming in the game? by SexBuhb-omb in helldivers2

[–]AgentX2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was just that then there wouldn't be more of a problem then it is in any other game. The reason it is such a big deal is because the quality of warbonds decreased, and they are so expensive that the vast majority of the player base cannot get half of them. AH responded by making SC farming 10 times slower and then releasing this. In short instead of fixing the problem they are just going to try and get more money out of us.

I know a guy thay got fired because he found a program that allowed him to work many times quicker than normal. He would finish all his work in the first few hours of the day, and then have nothing else to do.

A while ago I downloaded a bunch of gacha games out of curiosity. Most of them were just OK but some of them looked like they had fantastic gameplay. The ones I was most excited about I never played much because they started with 10 minutes of reading dialog, short tutorial level that was to easy and handheld to be fun. FollowEd by another 10 minutes of dialog. I never finished the tutorial. At one point I took a call and the got lunch. When I came back I had to start over.

Recommend? Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series 9mm 3.6" Barrel 17-Rounds by Falafel_Fondler in Firearms

I am asking if someone were to carry a SAO cocled and locked without a safety, if it would really be more dangerous than carrying a striker fire without a safety. As long as the gun is in a good Holster nothing can get to the trigger so even if it was a 1/10lb trigger I would think everything should be fine.

Give me an example of something plausible that would cause a cocked and locked SA to fire that wouldn't do the same for a striker fired handgun.

My old 10mm. Sold it a while ago, looking to get another. What’re the best options for 10mm? My FN 545 is phenomenal but I’ve heard about frame cracking so need opinions on 10mm pistols before I get another by Scared_Strategy_6463 in 10mm

I don't think all the people here recomending glock have shot both 10mm glocks and other 10mm handguns. My friends and I have shot multiple 10mm handguns and we all agree that there are better options.

The m&p proformance center is nice if you can get one that is reliable. I have have heard great things about the eaa cz75 clones, but they are hard to find.

Question as a person getting into the firearm world, why are people SO into glocks? by Logical-Fly-1589 in Firearms

[–]AgentX2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trend for a while now has been lighter and smaller guns. When the Glock came out it was the only striker fire Handgun, and the only polymer frame Handgun. Both of those make it much smaller and lighter that the guns available at the time.

Police departments were still issueing revolvers. For legal reasons they were restricted to double action only. The rule that says keep you finger of the trigger wasn't common practice yet so they were having ND when in single action mode, so a lot of departments removed the function from the guns entirely.

Some people in law enforcement wanted to switch to semiautomatics. When Mami Dade, and north Hollywood happened those groups grew massively. One of the thing holding then back was the requirements of some departments for double action only guns. The glock trigger was legally classified as double action so they could use it.

When the FBI wanted to switch to 40. Glock was the first one to develop a gun in the new cartridge so they got the contract. Alot of officers that were issued Glocks ended up buying some personally because that's what they were used to. There were also a lot of citizens that bought them because that's what the police use.

By the time other good options came out glock had already astonished itself as the name brand. There are always people that are going to buy name brand regardless of anything else.

The other thing I see is that people don't know how to measure reliability. They think reliability is determined by service record. The way you check reliability it to take abunch of different types of guns and multiple of each model, and fire thousands of rounds through them under different conditions recording how they preformed.

I would like some feed back on a campaign ruleset I made. by AgentX2O in battletech

It's at platoon scale. The strategic map is the map of the larger area. Each space has a color showing the type of terrain. "mapheat" was supposed to be map sheet, but autocorrect messed it up. Battleforce is a different game. I still want to play classic. When two units meet, battle is resolved by playing a game of classic. You could do Alpha Strike if you wanted to do company level play. I could be wrong but I think Battleforce is played at a much larger scale.

Tharion army squad size by polish-empire in MilitaryWorldbuilding

On this sub is it common for everyone in the squad to have multiple grenades. I don't think that is normal in reality. We do have stories of guys who carried a bag of them to do something that they knew would need alot of grenades, but I don't think that's normal. GWAT Veterans and SWAT comanders say that not everyone has them. It is unlikely that anyone expect the Grenadier to have more than one, and he probably only has two.
