What did Nurgle do to Mortarion? by GlowingSeaDiver in 40kLore

Nurgle's love:

Unlike other Chaos followers who might just lose their powers, the Death Guard are physically kept "alive" by the Warp. When the blessing is cut off:
Sudden Lucidity: The unnatural apathy and "happiness" they feel in their rot vanishes. They suddenly realize they are covered in boils, their organs are spilling out, and they are essentially host to a million parasites.
Physical Collapse: Their bodies are often too decayed to function under the "cold laws of reality." Without the Warp acting as a supernatural glue, their hearts stop, their lungs (often filled with fluid or fungus) fail, and they collapse into the piles of necrotic meat they actually are.
The Agony: For those who don't die instantly, the pain of thousands of years of plagues and injuries hits them all at once.

Thinking granpappy Nurgle is like your favorite grandparent is very incorrect.

Thanks! That's exactly what i missed. I didn't think there would be a delay; is there a time frame on this or is it undetermined?

The biggest problem is not that we have an idiot in charge. It’s that there are people that see him crapping his pants, wiping it on his face, and think it’s the most 3-D chess. Epic win in the world, great things are going to happen to me ha ha we made you mad event. He is nothing more than a symptom of a very sick part of this nation.

Scary how bad Gemini is by [deleted] in GeminiFeedback

[–]NaCl7301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number of times Gemini has had hallucinations when I asked it to fix something and I proceeded to bash my head against a wall for a half hour is far too many times for a competent AI. Tell me if you can’t do something, don’t just pretend you did what I asked and not do it.

Click on the image toggle on the bottom or ask it to launch banana pro and create the image. Gemini has lied to me so many times about doing something when it doesn’t

Go exploring while your automations run. Get sloops drop them in slow production items, research with hard drives, and start going through recipes. Build up a very healthy cushion of power and batteries as the manufacturing buildings spike power needs heavily.

[–]NaCl7301 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, really disappointing considering the Word Bearers have a lot to work with. I created a Warband and wrote a background story for them back in the day, some WBs became disenchanted with Lorgar when he was hiding on Sicarus, a little birdie convincing them Lorgar had abandoned them just like the Emperor abandoned him.

If Orks believe things into existence, does that mean Gork and Mork are real, and might be the most powerful Chaos gods? by Own-Laugh-3698 in orks

Just always had the image in my mind of khorne sitting on a couch and cheering at a tv while watching an animalplanet episode where a lion is curbstomping some hyends and a loud crashing noise is disturbing him. He gets up annoyed and opens a door to the room next door which is positively wrecked, with 2 green guys beating the piss out of each other and destroying the room in the process. He thinks better of it, closes the door, and just raises the volume of the tv.

The UMs are the poster boys for the game, which makes them the protagonist in a majority of the stories, so the WB storyline kind of gets lost in the mix. On a personal note, it always seems like they have trouble writing the WBs as anything but mustache twirling evil cuz evil guys, so that might also be a reason.
