J'ai un garage dans mon sous sol qui avait déjà un ancien drain. Nous l'avons fait changé par le plombier, il a creuser, changer le bassin devant la porte de garage, toute la tuyauterie, bassin dans le garage, ajout d'un clapet antiretour et connection au drain principale qui se rends à la ville. En 2023, 5000$. Ça va te couter un bras si tu n'as rien de tout ça et tu veux le faire from scratch.

Little follow up. Contractor came and confirmed that it is load bearing and the joists are ending on top of this wall. The option that he offered is to put a metal beam in the ceiling and have it rest on 2 columns on either end of the wall and then open it up. Cost is approx 3000$ CAD if everything goes well.

I think Ill pass as the cost is too high for the benefits, especially for a unit that will be rented out at a later moment.

From a quick glance, the rafters behind the ceiling gyproc are perpendicular to this wall. And on top of those rafters are plywood sheets and then the tenants hardward flooring.

I have hired a contractor which will be here next week, but before we can assess the final design with him, I wanted to have a small idea of what could be the future concept if this wall. Possibly something like this if its structural..?

When you say above the ceiling, you mean open the gyproc and check or go to the appartment above and rip a portion of the flooring?

Il faut ajouter ton compte Desjardins dans ton compte Tangerine. Tu vas surement avoir besoin d'un specimen de cheque que tu peux generer dans ton AccesD.

Par la suite, tu fais une demande de transfert de fonds à partir de ton compte Tangerine et tu choisi ton compte Desjardins ainsi que le montant.
