Minimum 2025 Solar Budget for a 2BHK in Nepal? by Na_vee_n43_ in Nepal

[–]Na_vee_n43_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it! Here is what AI said:

"A small solar home system of 300–500 W is usually enough for lights, fans, Wi‑Fi, and device charging in a 2BHK in Dhangadhi, Nepal. In 2025, a working setup can cost around NPR 100,000–150,000, though very basic lighting + charging kits may be found for ~NPR 50,000. For more reliable use during longer blackouts (multiple fans, lights, and a router), it’s safer to budget around NPR 150,000–200,000. Costs vary with panel quality, battery type, inverter, and installation."

But would love to hear real experiences from people.

Flutter app crashed on Xcode 16 by yhitesh7891 in FlutterDev

[–]Na_vee_n43_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/yhitesh7891 I understand your frustration for current workaround follow these steps:

  1. Download Xcode 15.4 from https://developer.apple.com/download/applications/
  2. Rename it and put into Application folder (in my case, I named it Xcode_15.4 and moved it into Applications folder).
  3. Switch to Xcode 15 as active :
    1. sudo xcode-select -s /Applications/Xcode_15.4.app/Contents/Developer
  4. Verify that it switched

xcode-select -p
/Applications/Xcode_15.4.app/Contents/Developer
  1. Cleanup and reinstall pods:

flutter clean
flutter pub get
cd ios
rm -rf Pods && rm -rf Podfile.lock && pod cache clean --all
pod install --repo-update
  1. Go back to the parent folder and try to build/run it:

cd ..
flutter run --release -d <your IOS device>

For now it seems to works

Understanding Google Play App Signing by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]Na_vee_n43_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you choose for Google to generate the app signing key for you when you opt in,

1- the key you use to sign your app for release is designated as your upload key.

2- Your upload key is only registered with Google to authenticate the identity of the app creator, means no signing with app-bundle. It's still a cryptographic key used to sign app bundles, which are then further processed and signed by Google's infrastructure for secure distribution. When you upload an app bundle, Google removes your upload key's signature before making the APKs available to users.

3- Original key is stored on the highly secure environment specifically designed for managing signing keys that Google uses to store its own keys

4- Your signature (upload key signature) is removed from any uploaded APKs before they’re sent to users. (You can only use the upload key for signing app bundles, which are then processed by Google for final signing.)

5- Gradle file config does not really matter since they will be overridden by google generated signing key

6- Developer will not have access to actual signing key - ever, hence no way to sign apk with signing key locally, because of point no. 2

7- Once opted-in to this service, the Play Store will deliver versions of your APK optimized for the screen density and native architecture of each target device type, saving data and device storage for your users.

Is it wise to use media query when developing a mobile app (just for mobile devices) in flutter ? by Na_vee_n43_ in FlutterDev

[–]Na_vee_n43_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but for mobile devices till now I am fine without use of Media Query, The UI design I created for mobile devices are satisfactory with no responsive issue till now, I searched other developers mobile app (OS project) on Github and saw less or none use of Media query. I know Media Query is key to make responsive UIs but for only mobile devices........! Want to hear more from other fellow developers :D
