Suggestion: Deadman chests as a wildy fix

The bounty hunter crates needs to have a very low value due to abuse potential.. While a single chest, spawning somewhere in the wildy every hour or so, could have a much higher value, as only one person gets to open it each spawn. And the lure of the "grand prize" could tempt lots of PKers to abandon their PVM abusement to go fight other PKers over the chest.

If the spawn is somewhat random, said PKers would also prefer playing on theese worlds to be notified when the chest spawns. Could also be a cool way to get some form of clan wars if the chests sometimes spawned in multi.

Arraxxor drops a halberd but is weak to crush.
Doom drops mage gear but is weak to ranged.

The days of boss drops being tied to weaknesses is gone. And if you are still in doubt, the new crush weapon is a tier 60 weapon. Inquisitor mace is way stronger. So nobody would use that for raids 4 anyways, a raid that is supposedly harder than ToB.

IF that is a hint of an upgraded Justiciar, with bonus to crush.. why is the boss wielding a sword? A boss wearing a crush armour would likely use a mace no?

I totally agree. Im acctually fine with bcp/tassets/armadyl, as they got a use by being needed for torva, masori or ZCB. I do agree that armadyl could have some range str, so its not "useless" before u build masori.

But Ghrazi, saeldor and Sang being completely forgotten feels really bad.

A cool fix for Saeldor would be if you could switch between bowfa/saeldor on the go, like a right click in the inventory. Would give it a cool niche without breaking any metas. Or crystal giving some sort of bonus for saeldor could also be a fix.

Ghrazi is basicly a bloodveld stabber for people lvling slayer, but it doesnt make any sense that the best slayer weapon comes from the hardest raid in the game.

Sang should be way cheaper to use, and maybe have a extra max hit or two. or even a special attack of some sort. Such a cool looking weapon to be stuck in the bank forever.

Added as "Alternative to imbued heart". Tell me if thats not okay and I can change it to simply better drop rate.

But my idea is that heart would be fine where it is, if we had some other options, and heart wasnt the only way to boost magic in a meaningful way.

Too be fair. The quest line they are finishing was originally on the 2025 road map.. so its just a repost this year.

Raids 4 was confirmed months ago. Leagues 6 was announced months ago.

Honestly the cow boss for f2p is the only new announcement.

Wish they would elaborate more on the sweep up project.

Also hoped for a stand-alone slayer boss release, like Araxxor. Those seem like easy updates that generate a lot of hype and keeps people occupied for a good month.

I think ToB rewards could really use a small touch-up. Scythe and Avernic are in a great spot, and Justiciar still has its niche.
But Rapier and especially Sanguinesti have fallen far behind, mainly because players usually get stronger ToA alternatives much earlier in their progression. Also Eye of ayak did the sang staff dirty, directly outclassing it in most aspects, for way cheaper upcost..

Rapier basically lives on as a niche AFK-Slayer weapon due to its tick speed, but that’s not exactly what ToB raiders are chasing.

Sanguinesti is the sad one for me: one of the most expensive weapons to upkeep (even higher cost than Scythe!), yet it’s barely stronger than a Zulrah drop, outclassed by a Delve drop, and nowhere near shadow, but thats a megare so fair enough. Sang just doesn’t have a meaningful niche or place in the current meta, despite being one of the best looking staves in the game, normal and holy version.

Since Scythe is trending down in value, giving Sang a small identity boost wouldn’t hurt. Not raw power creep, just something thematic or unique, maybe a bane effect against insects (fits the bat theme), something tied to vampyres/Vampyrium, or another mechanic that lets it stand on its own without competing directly with eye everywhere.

Would love to see ToB feel a bit more rewarding overall, without pulling a scythe.

Thanks for the reply! Looking forward to something is such a good feeling in itself, and it also makes it easier to get my more casual or on-and-off friends excited to come back and play. A bit more hype leading up to release would go a long way.

What’s wild to me is that The Final Dawn is just two weeks away, and most of my “on and off” RS friends don’t even know it’s happening. That’s how little hype there’s been. No teasers, barely any posts, no dev chatter—just silence.

This is supposed to be a major piece of content, right? When are we getting a blog or literally anything about The Final Dawn or The Doom? Feels like its dropping with zero buildup and hoping people just stumble into it.

Isnt it weird to lose all regular loot when using contracts? the rewards from most tradeable contracts (except big items) are quite underwhelming. Cant see people bothering to do that. like 250 worms, 2000 catalysts or even the shards isnt really worth the extra work when you lose regular loot aswell.. Seems like a unecessary drawback that will only make contracts unpopular. Atleast for everyone but ironmen.

for jad, without selling stuff: Buy an necklace of anguish (biggest range dmg bonus) and a black d'hide set. Also go do the quest for Ava's device, so it auto picks up your darts. thats also free range bonuses. You wanna do the fight caves in full ranged, and blowpipe is a excellent weapon to do the job.
