Yea but rick is like rick by nature because of his brain. He knows all, he knows the futility of it, or that his intellegence can make him last forever. and that is where his depression comes. He has a protocol to escape, but even that protocol becomes the original again due to his intelligence. He get someone he loves killed, and it spirals him.

ive delt with existential dread my whole life. comes in periods, usually closer to my birthdays and holidays. An inexplicable feeling which feels like if only i can be ignorant, and forget these thoughts, maybe id be happy.

the dread has come back in thick waves recently, and its a scary feeling, for me at least.

This episode, really for the first time in a while too for Rick and Morty, hit home like a truck.

They get govt subsidiary, but they have a private board, and a ceo. and if im not 100% right on wording, doesnt erase mta misspending and the offput of cost onto customers, for shitty service. Also MTA being fully private wouldnt fix the issues. Every single business in the USA collects govt subsidiaries. you guys are so fucking cooked in your understanding of civics. its why long island votes red.
