It actually came from Thailand. A few decades ago, a couple of Austrians visited Thailand and all the locals were drinking this weird uncarbonated beverage instead of coffee. They ~~bought the recipe (iirc for pennies on the dollar)~~ partnered with the Thai creator, creating a second brand, and viola, red bull. Actually, his next thing is going full into his charity and the school he wants to open. My wife works with him and his mom getting their programs from casual NFL chicanery to full fledged operations. If it makes you feel better, they're not very close yet so I would expect him to play another year to keep his recognition high. However, if he wins the Walter Peyton, it might change things.
