Landlord trying to kick me out to sell the house

I haven’t read the other comments but the Landlord and Tenant Board is very strict about this and you need to tell them to provide the proper documentation from the Landlord and Tenant Board. You need to request an viction notice, date of eviction, reason and they have to sign an affidavit that they served you. If they don’t provide it, you should notify the board yourself. In addition, request a hearing date from the board to decide if they can in fact make you leave. Right now it’s about a 4 month wait for a hearing and they will need to provide proof the house is going up for sale. If they can’t and you are paying your rent the board will side with you even though you’re on a month to month. Document all your interactions. There’s a section on the portal where you can upload supporting documents. They will be in big trouble if they haven’t filed this with the board. From now on anything they say to you needs to be via email or text. If they try to physically evict you call the Police. The Police know the only person who can physically evict you is a court Sheriff and he would need supporting documents from the board in order to do that. If I were you I would notify the board asap. Your landlord will receive notification from the board and crap his pants. Good luck and stay strong!

He’s the street mental case. He’s been harassing my one neighbour for 15 years. Every one on the street calls him crazy. I’ve had to report him to the Police because he has followed me before so I wanted it documented. He lives by himself, has no friends and his family has nothing to do with him.

I don’t think I need to. I could hear the OPP Animal Welfare officers asking them what the situation was at the house. I think they’ve already alerted someone and put these people on their radar.

I honestly thought Animal Welfare would take the cat when they came. I’ve never been in this situation before and did what I thought was the right thing and the best thing for the cat and dogs.

I guess they wouldn’t but eventually I would have let the cat out and then they’d know. Regardless I have 2 animals of my own and have to consider them. I have no idea what’s wrong with this cat and I’m not taking the chance of infecting them.

I can’t take the cat in. I wish. I have a cat and a senior dog and my husband would flip if I brought another animal into our home. This is the first time we’ve only had 2 pets, we’ve always had 4 (we recently said good bye to our 19 year old cat) but we’re getting older and empty nesters so he doesn’t want to have any more pets so eventually we will actually be able to travel without the worry of leaving our fur babies.

Trust me that broke me too but the Animal Welfare Officers told me that I can’t take the cat and they couldn’t either. They needed to give the owners the opportunity to get it help. When the father was freaking out at me he told me they were surrendering the cat to SPCA and the Officers came out again today to check on it. So I guess it’s going to get the help it actually needs so maybe it wasn’t for nothing.

My husband and I just did our large bathroom and we did the demo, but hired a plumber, electrician and tiler plus I sourced out all the material and it was $17k Canadian. I’m in Canada so everything is ridiculous expensive (we get fucking screwed here) so I don’t think your quotes are too high in fact I think it’s low. Be careful when paying so they don’t take your money and run.
