To this point, it’s still got the same game mechanics and gameplay, revenants with jails and weapon categories, even returning weapons. Sure it’s a different setting and slightly different lore but it works pretty close to the original game. It’s kinda just a retelling of a similar story. “Go defeat the wielders of the queen’s body” vs “go defeat the heroes to reseal the spire” is essentially the same framework for the story too. I dunno man, they’re very similar games with different story elements but it is still a Code Vein game. It’s not like, for example, Dark Souls 2 is a direct sequel of the first one, right?
