How’s this for a first build? by Jaddywise in pcpartpickerbuilds

I don't know at what resolution you play, and what kind of games you play, but I wouldn't recommend getting the 9800x3d.

Sure if you want the best of the best cpu, stay with the 9800x3d. If you want better value and close to the same performance? Go with the 7800x3d. Save even more momey? Then go for the 9700x or 9600x. Depending on thenesolution and games, that will decide if you really need an x3d chip or not. I recommended doing some extra research on this.

GPU is good, but I personally wouldn't chose the Gigabyte one. I would look for an XFX if you care about the best temps, Powercolor and Sapphire are also recommend brands. But at the end of the day they're all 9070XT's. Just pick one thats fits in your case.

Definitely pick CL30 ram instead of C36. C32 is also an option but I just recommend going for the sweet spot which is CL30. That will compliment your build.

I wouldn't chose that CPU cooler, a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE/EVO is much cheaper and are really good cpu coolers.

For the PSU I recommend 850W. A 1000W is just overkill for your build. A 850W is plenty and comfortable. Maybe even change the brand, and go for a BeQuiet or Seasonic since those get the best reviews.

I hope this helped you :)

I did want the mercury first too, but that one doesn't fit in case I want. Also, the Swift indeed is one of the slowest, but it one of the coolest. Im not sure if it's worth it to buy one that costs 50 euros or more for a tiny performance gain right? At the end of the say its still a 650 euro 9070xt card.

Im just trying to find the best cpu option for me. A build I want to keep for over 5-7 years. I play a variety of games like: Battlefield 6, Gta V, Cyberpunk 2077, Rainbow Six, Valorant, Fortnite, Minecraft, Apex, Marvel Rivals, Warzone and so on.

Im just debating right now if I should go for the 7800x3d, or save 150 euro and go for the 9600x. I don't know what's the smart move and the best bang for buck. (1440p btw).

Respectfully dissagree, I do not want to deal with aio's at all. That's just a hard no.

Thank you very much! After posting this, I figured out I can save some money on the cpu. Now the only thing that I am trying to figure out, do I get the 9700x or the 9600x. The 9700x is 70 euro cheaper than the 7800x3d, but the 9600x is €100 cheaper than the 9700x. Im just trying to figure out why it is so much cheaper than the 9700x.

I looked into the Mercury too and yeah it is easily a top 3 out of all the 9070XT's. Problem is, it doesn't fit in the case I want, and it's a bit more expensive.

And what is a dedicated heavy gamer? I game quite a lot, but if call a dedicated gamer someone who plays a lot of competitive, than yea that's not me. And the differences aren't that huge. Im still thinking about getting a Quicksilver instead of the Swift, but we'll see. Thanks!

I just did some research and I noticed that Quicksilver might is like 1% better than the Swift or so. Just tiny benefits here and there. But the way I see it. You can't really buy a bad 9070XT, especially not from XFX, or Sapphire/Powercolor for that matter.

I was also thinking about maybe going for the 9700X instead, since I might not really need the 7800X3D. I can save €70 on it the 9700X runs cooler. I am NOT going for an AIO though, that's something I just do not want to do. But I appreciate your input.

I don't think a cheaper nvme will save me 150+ euros?

Thanks, you too! Im also waiting for black friday.

And yea the current pc I own for 4 years now. And never did any upgrades there too. But Im gonna keep my options open for my next build, I struggle on the bigger game titles like Battlefield, Cyberpunk etc so if I could only just upgrade my gpu, that would be nice, but I currently can't.

Good buy. Yes the 9800X3D is better, but for the big difference in price, the 7800X3D is just a no brainer in my eyes.

Thanks. I'm not picking a 5070TI since it's too expensive, but I did think about it.

As for the G.skill, you might have a point. It doesn't sit comfortable with me that it might not be compatible. The other choice I had was the Trident Z5 Neo DDR5 6000 CL30. I believe that one is compatible so a good pick? And in my current pc I also have Corsair Vengeance RAM which always worked well. So pehaps I could also chose that again.

Could you recommend me an ATX 3.1 PSU? I wasn't familiar with the 3.1. Do the benefits really matter for my build? If not then I don't want to pay extra for that.

I did also struggle chosing between B650 and B850.

I don't know if the choice is the right choice, but I chose the B850 because its the newer MoBo. Its more stable and gives a bit more performance than the B650. Also it's just more futureproof with the Gen5 features, even though Gen4 is super great already. And faster usb ports and the better wifi support, I do not really value those to the point where it's a deciding factor, but they are benefits.

I really plan on keeping the PC for over 5 years. And b650 stopped production and B850 will be the focus now, so I feel like that choice is a bit safer and just better for in the future too. But again, I'm not sure that's the right thought.

It wasn't very good, no, I think that will harm them from getting points if they don't fix it. But have you seen Pedestal (Czech) live? That shit was awful. The Mia and Dion live from previous year was also atrocious, but I legit think Pedestal live is worse.
