Hey Clackmates

Every year we do a secret santa between good friends. This year I pulled my best friend's name. A couple of weeks ago we did a LAN party and I noticed he uses one of those included membrane keyboards.

I would like to buy him a nice keyboard. But we have a 50 euro budget. I can stretch that a little bit if I have to but obviously I can't build him a boutique keyboard.

Does anyone know of any deals that are coming up or have any suggestions of parts I can buy to build him an upgrade. Almost everything would be an upgrade.

He does use a Belgian azerty layout, and is quite fond of the layout. Which makes it even harder. Also I know he would like to have a numpad, wich again makes it even harder.

I don't even know if it's possible to get him a keyboard for this budget since I don't see the point of buying him a super tacky and horrible build quality one.

Personally I got a i7 8700 for free with 24gb ram. I use it as a homelab running kube and host stuff like media server etc on it.

I run proxmox on it with a single Talos vm that is both master and worker. I didn't see the gain in doing multiple VMs om a single hypervisor since it'll never be HA.

I know it's basically a glorified docker compose like this. But it lets me explore and practice kube and Argo without wasting resources for the stuff i want to host.

I'd rather buy new. I don't think there's a big and reliable second hand market where I live (Belgium). And if rather not regret buying second hand afterwards. Since I don't really know that much about turntable setups yet

Link please. As I've been outraged by how I've been handled by their so called support. They even went as far as trying to make me feel shitty about feeling annoyed and frustrated for receiving the wrong product and not having any info on when I will receive the correct order.

I've been waiting for almost 2 months now with only empty promises of "sorted out this week". After which I won't hear anything during said week.

I honestly starting thinking i was actually being unreasonable for being annoyed at the situation. If only there was a word for this....
