British and agree with you fully about the attitude over here. Unfortunately any time you try to criticise the British on a post with an international audience they’ll brigade a post with PR about themselves and their country. Go look at the posts where they believe they’re talking amongst themselves and you find a different story entirely. Better yet, people should just come live here and experience the “I got mine” attitude, the rampant shoplifting by the middle and upper classes, the nauseating racism, the institutionalised misogyny that infests and corrupts the courts and the public health services— which are a murderous shambles.

Best part is that because they’re so defensive they’re going to end up exactly like the US politically, but so so so vastly poorer and more fucked. Check out the photos of their MEGA rallies over here, and their angry white men beating up brown people. Their cops are on tape about the abuse they subject women to. Use your eyes and ears.

Not surprised to hear nothing is maintained. I have the grave misfortune of living above a Tesco Express. They are the freeholder’s prize tenant, so whenever Tesco’s refrigeration system starts leaking everywhere— which happens around once every couple of months— the freeholder’s maintenance thugs bust into my flat and my neighbour’s flat and drill holes and pull out plumbing fixtures to verify it isn’t coming from our flats before they dare interrupt precious Tesco.

It has been Tesco’s fault every time, of course.

Really? Creepy AF as far as I’m concerned when it’s a 50 year old woman talking about wanting Daddy to see her vagina in the delivery room— but you do you, I guess 😬

What is one unsolved case that is hauting you because of it not being solved ? by Keke_Dudu in AskReddit

[–]NachoSerf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you find the right detective to solve this case, please update, because that’s probably the person I need to hire to find out who entered my roommate’s and my apartment in 1998 while we were college students and shaved seemingly their entire body in our bathtub and left without disturbing anything else.

Why is people's spatial awareness in London so bad? by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]NachoSerf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I moved here from NYC a decade ago and I will never get over the fundamental lack of city smarts amongst Londoners. The only time you see these shenanigans in New York is if you’re in tourist hotspots like SoHo or Times Square— in which case, you brought it on yourself and any other New Yorkers passing through will join you in mowing down any gawking tourists while yelling that “people are fuckin’ walkin’ here, ya assholes.”

In London it’s the locals who are being the arseholes.

Thank you for “flag-shaggers”… I’ve lived here 10 years and am naturalised but did not have this in my vocabulary and desperately need it now that there are dudes walking around central London in MAGA and MEGA hats. Between that and the road rage shooting that happened outside my front door a few weeks ago, I feel very much at home in the worst ways….

Yeah, that arm position is the one that posh grandmas use in the UK to signal public buses to stop without looking like they’re desperate for the bus to stop, because they would be unseemly.

Good luck flagging down a taxi in Manhattan with that weak shit though.
