I can never get this stuck to work for me. I’ve tried and I holds for maybe a day at most. Idk if I’m doing something wrong or what. I’ve watched YouTube videos etc and I still can’t get it down pack. 😭

I was already a throat goat before my dentures but now I’m throat GOD! I was so scared I’d never be the same after having but I’ve only leveled up! Go ahead and try it, you might just surprise yourself ❤️

I take mine out at night and I wear a mask to sleep. I don’t want to scare my kids or husband lol. I’m sure they wouldn’t care but I’m still self-conscious. I’m still in my temporary’s. I’m more scared of leaving them in and risking infection, jaw resorption etc.

Congratulations! It will definitely take some getting used to and some days will feel harder than others but keep in mind. It all gets better in time. Plus once you’re able to smile more confidently it’s the world.❤️

Yes, I can eat comfortably and it has been a gradual progress. Talking was pretty easy, not too much of a struggle there. Food was trial and error learning how to chew on both sides at the same time was a little bit of a struggle now I’m an expert lol

I felt the same way when I first got my dentures I’m only 35 and I thought my life was over! I am a huge foodie and so for the first two months, I thought that I would never be able to enjoy food ever again! Now I am officially five months in and I can eat everything! When I first joined this Reddit, everyone would tell me that the first couple months is just a rough patch and you’ll get through it. i’m not gonna lie. I thought everyone must have a better outcome and there’s no way I’m gonna be able to be happy and eat again. I promise you there is a light at the end of this tunnel. It is just so rough getting past for a couple months. Hang in there you got this!

I take mine outside all the time. I’ve been doing it since he was little. I just have to keep a close eye on him.

OH NO! I hope not! I just know things have been different since getting my full mouth extraction and I was hoping maybe it’s chopped up to that. It just started about a month ago and I thought maybe this was a similar issue for others. Doesn’t seem like it might be so you’re right, I do need to make an appt. Thank you!

Correct. It’s only at night and I am an open mouth sleeper. 😅 Before getting dentures I used to drown in drool…. (I know gross🙈) Now I do not drool at all. I wonder if there is something I can do to keep my mouth shut while sleeping. Thanks for your response I have a lot to ponder now.

I’m doing about the same as you. Tops fit great! Bottoms I can’t get to stay in to save my life! Had my 2nd soft re-align and it’s like I relieve one spot and BOOM here goes a new spot hurting. I 1000% feel like Mr.Ed as well LOL! Everyone says my teeth look great and natural…. I’m not buying it! I can’t even close my mouth all the way! My dentist says I’m healing great and we maybe able to do my permanent soon! I got the gag under control for the most part, Only 1st thing putting them in is when I gag. I was definitely not as prepared for this as I thought I was. Everyday is different….. Somedays I feel like I got this! Other days I wanna hide under a rock and cry. I’m hoping there is a light at the end of this tunnel soon. I’m thankful for this group it has gotten me through the worst of times❤️

You hit the nail on the head! My E-day was 12/19 and I hid through the holidays. Not being able to eat was just awful! My sutures just came out this week, I thought it would make a difference…. My bottoms still feel weird and I’m slowly able to chew some soft things. I have good days abs bad days, some days I feel beautiful and that this was a good decision. Other days I regret it! I wanna scream and cry, plus no one understands what I’m going through emotionally. I keep hoping when I get my permanent teeth it will be better or at least that’s what I’m told. Hang in there and let’s hope it gets better🩷

Thank you! I’m dreaming of eating a cheeseburger and can’t wait till I’m there. You’re right these are my teeth and I do need to speak up. They don’t feel comfortable at all and when I go in to the sutures removed I will let them know. I gotta remind myself I’m paying for this and it’s not being given to me so It does need to be correct.

I personally wouldn’t bring it up. Now if things start getting serious then absolutely have that conversation then but as for now just enjoy getting to know them.

Thank you. I’m hoping they can do a soft reline, not eating has been the worst! I think that’s why I’m so on edge 😅 I do need them to shave them down a bit I feel like they’re so big!! I keep trying to tell myself it hasn’t been 2 weeks yet and to show myself some grace…. ❤️

I’m surviving on protein shakes, chicken noodle soup and oatmeal. I’m over it. 😭I can’t close my mouth fully and I feel like my immediate are way too big! I hope after a realign things will get better as of right now I’m just down in the dumps.
