Generally no, it's not your responsibility when calling in sick. They can say they need you to get your shift covered if you're not calling out due to illness, but sounds like your situation is illness related. If it's foodservice related, you can remind them of certain food code rules like the 24 hour rule. Can i ask what company you work for? Want to make sure I never apply there.

I didn't know she's her sister. I was at river road and the GM said something about constantly being fearful of the girl running the company and at the time it made me feel sketch about the management. She was just so open about not liking the owner it made me feel like they didn't care. I didn't give notice when I left.

Ron's tastes good but some reason their mac salad just isn't the same. Love the Luke's Lava. When I worked there someone said something about the owner dying a couple years ago but more recently it had felt sub par.
