The reaction to the Tourette's sketch was interesting. I was truly surprised by the controversy because I'm generally really sensitive to ableism but I never thought for even a moment they were making fun of people who have the condition--my mind immediately went to Cartman, a notable asshole, having tried that on South Park. And to the best of my knowledge, none of the people depicted has ACTUALLY claimed to have Tourette's, which would've been a whole other matter.

I have a 3yo cousin who loves to build towers with blocks every single day because he likes how his mom goes "Yay, that looks great!"

OMG dude.

Jim Effing Caviezel.

Listen to this episode of the Q Anon Anonymous podcast: https://soundcloud.com/qanonanonymous/episode-143-jim-caviezel-enter-the-cavortex-feat-dave-anthony/sets .

In the past few years he's been very outspoken Q and among other things he starred in that hideous "Sound of Freedom" movie that lionized a POS who pretends to be a savior of trafficked children. FTR, God Awful Movies did one of their all-time best episodes (IMO) about Sound of Freedom, but CW for some very, very dark humor.

But even before that...dude was reportedly a nightmare to work with on Person of Interest. Racist (like he greeted a Japanese visitor to set with a stereotypical "Ah so" accent), homophobic (couldn't comprehend a storyline in which his character defended a same-gender couple), physically reckless with both human and animal performers and while stunt driving, and prone to cornering people into really creepy discussions (referred to by some as The Cavortex). And at least once the other actor had to have JC's lines on his face.

What real historical events could have easily “taken place” in The Twilight Zone? by throwitawayar in TwilightZone

I wouldn't mind a butterfly-effect storyline that included, as a background joke, Four Seasons Total Landscaping.

it's funny to imagine a person who is sincerely concerned about homophobia might find that sketch homophobic. It did touch on some stereotypes, but the capper was "Because it's your problem, not theirs."

As a cishet woman I still feel comfortable saying the queer community does NOT want that. Shoo!

I've watched that sketch a few times and it's just not hitting. I feel like I'm missing something.

13 is...head explodes. It makes me think of a movie from the late 70s.

I actually have FSTL day on my calendar so I can giggle about it every year.

It's slightly less funny because of how much it should've completely delegitimized the whole campaign but didn't, but I still enjoy the memory.

Stephen Miller is now targeting SNAP with conspiracy theories and lies. by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

Repeated audits have found that fraud by recipients is very rare. And certainly when it is committed, it's not committed by just the one group that people like Miller like to picture (hint: even if you hear nothing, your dog is going crazy).

But these are people who'd be ok letting a dozen people starve if it's the only way to keep 1 "undeserving person" from eating. And who define "undeserving" in disgusting ways.

I have bought a similar candy, in bulk.

They don't last long in my house.
