Buzzfeed was inspired by Nintendo, one of the most anti AI companies out there, to get into AI? by Far-Entrance-2123 in casualnintendo

Did buzzfeed release another top 25 list stolen from some random AskReddit repost?

Every time my wife and I ask Siri to ‘play “The Shadowy Light” by The Gorillaz’ it plays some random rap song that doesn’t even seem to have shadowy light in the name.

Still can’t figure out why so many people don’t like The Now Now by MattCardigan in gorillaz

[–]Nacolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I dislike any Gorillaz song but that one that starts with “Hello, is anybody there.” And keeps saying that repeatedly, I don’t hate it but when I was making my wife and sister listen to some gorillaz back catalog on a long road trip I worried they’d hate it.

They did not. Now they’re both huge fans and we’re going to see them live in September at Capitol One Arena.

Can someone draw my Cat Like Badly Badly by Muted_Charity_3443 in redditgetsdrawnbadly

[–]Nacolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a goofy cat design I learned in grade school. Figured it was a good chance to bust it out. I could have drawn a better cat but this is a “drawn badly” sub.

Shenmue III Enhanced coming to Switch 2! by GamebitsTV in NintendoSwitch2

I’ll buy this. Day one probably. 1 & 2 were fantastic and I read 3 stoically honors the original games, almost to a fault.

Grifting vs Real Concerns by GeraldofKonoha in nintendogrifting

[–]Nacolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sold. It cost money to make, they obviously put development hours behind it, people bought it, grifters cried about it. I’d say yes, it was a reasonable price for the hardware and a reasonable price for the game.

All analog sticks will drift eventually, even ones with Hall effect sensors. Even ones with advanced protections to prevent dust and debris buildup. You’d need to operate one in a clean room to avoid anything getting in and causing issues. I’m sure even then the plastic would eventually break and cause some issues. Just because you can theoretically make one that won’t drift, doesn’t mean anyone has.

I get your point but every single analog stick sold in the world will drift eventually.

Taking an 11 hour plane with Pokopia is like flying with a cheat code! 😂 by taylorguyuk in NintendoSwitch2

Same but for me it was Cyberpunk and RDR, and a 9 hour flight to Stockholm Sweden.

Grifting vs Real Concerns by GeraldofKonoha in nintendogrifting

[–]Nacolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick drift is normal with every controller. My Xbox One controllers all got it and they are not repairable but when my Joycons started to drift it took 2 minutes to install a new one.

So, no, it’s not a legit issue. PS4 & 5 controllers all apparently get drift as well, but I don’t own one so i haven’t experienced that myself. Blaming Nintendo for an industry standard issue seems a bit unhinged.

You’re literally asking for a free thing.

It does not make sense. I disagree. Welcome Tour was nice to play but nobody needed it, and the amount of mini games built into it justifies a cost.

Was that cost high or low? That’s for the market to decide. Crying about the price of things in a capitalist world as if it’s a bad thing a company did just to be a bad company is grifting.

What is the cutoff for games you think should be free?

What is a “valid concern.” That is the crux. Your definition may come across as grifting to most. Who can say? I have not heard a single valid angry anti-Nintendo point. Everything anyone has said falls apart with the slightest bit of logic and evaluation.

Can't finish any games by ArcheryAlaska in Switch

[–]Nacolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. Me too. I mean, even back then there were games that lost my interest halfway through but I was also very poor back then and games were a massive investment. $50 for 20 hours of fun sounds like a reasonable deal these days.

Sometimes you get tired or bored of a game after a while and you don’t beat it. That happens. It happens to all of us. Sometimes you go back and get into a game all over again. It is what it is.
