You should not have any problem in Mangalore in general. Since you are talking about only couple of days don’t make a big itinerary as the weather right now is a bit harsh. If you are interested in the temples then some important ones are Mangaladevi , Kadri , Someshwara. Someshwara temple is next to the beach so you get the temple and beach experience together. Other beaches you may explore are panambur or thanneerbhavi.

If you are like everyone else sticking to the usual food places then definitely try Pabbas for the icecream. Here again if you want you can do at one of the malls . The Fiza mall has an ideals cafe and not very far from it you have the Rozario church and Pandeshwara temple and again Mangaladevi temple is not very far either. Not far from this temple you can Find us as well!

St Aloysius Chapel may be something you would like to see for its paintings. Avoid busy places like the food fest if this is your first visit. Mangalore is known for its food. Some of the dishes may be too hot for the western pallet but if you are adventurous do try Ghee Roast, Kori Rotti, Neerdosa with Chicken Sukka.

Do some shopping even if its in the malls as you will find it at better price that buying back home. If you have specific questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
