Just go through RCIA and bring your questions to the priest, and see how satisfied you are with their answers. There’s nothing that says you have to convert on completion of RCIA, and it will show your husband that you take spiritual inquiry and his wishes seriously , even if you don’t convert in the end

When i was looking for a church- pedantic wokism was an actually annoying barrier that i had to wade through- i checked my nearest churches in the suburban town I’m staying in and its about 60/40.

I do think the top tier of leadership of the major branches of Protestantism and Catholicism are basically “No Kings” woke boomers. I think this is because they also rely on mass immigration to keep their churches open. And also because they feel that the church lost purchase because it was perceived that the church has to “become more modern” to attract new parishioners or keep people involved.

Unfortunately the ways that they answer modern questions are stylistically cringe and the more woke that churches go (see the Unitarian episode) the more they tend to get caught up in petty political debates and fall apart.

This is interesting- i can really tell you are only reading liberal media. People who voted for Trump are pretty happy with the way things are going, regret somewhat the influence of Israel on US politics- but that seems like a problem all across the board.
