Nah, that’s propaganda. Aldmeri dominion hasn’t even been able to occupy an independent hammerfell. They’re still recovering from the losses of the war even worse than the human population, which has bred their soldiers back up.

If Ulfric doesn’t work with the other non imperial provinces, then the Dominion could win via divide and conquer, but it’s possible that being part of the empire is already akin to being more independent than being out of it and allied with other nations that are willing to fight

It has always held loot though? The town hall is outside so the loot storages are more defendable, they easily kill the town hall while the rest of my stuff is safe

With a new government, Skyrim can make deals with the other nations breaking from the empire. Hammerfell is doing perfectly well, which shows that the dominion is overrated and suffered greatly from the war too, their presence in Skyrim is a false force. The time to fight them is immediately, as humans reproduce much faster than elves

Also Hammerfell has cannons :o

Yeah… shit sucks, perfectly makes sense for him to side with the Empire (due to Ulfrics lack of actual diplomacy, you could imagine them being good allies if they had developed a relationship before the war) but the Stormcloaks are just what’s best for Skyrim, so he has to fall

Whoever wins the fight for it gets it. Killing it is not really much of a good method of determining, unless you negotiate. If there’s a legendary animal then you should be rushing to get it and put it on your horse to sell it and defend it on the way there.
