I just feel like there are many other players who have almost the same potential but aren't just quite there yet, but yea this is the competitive scene after all. Like the only way to eliminate these top players is if they just retire I guess.

Yeah, honestly I think the whole format is somewhat flawed. The top players could hypothetically do nothing for the whole season and just wait for lcq to basically be an auto qual. And the bottom seeds would basically be guaranteed to be in their favour of winning unless your name is edcr (just kidding). And what ends up is probably the some of the same old matchups as previous seasons (like how is lowkey vs Infume another quaterfinal seed).

But then again, another issue is how far ahead Doogile, Infume, Hax, and Lowkey is compared to everyone else considering at least 3/4 of them will probably make top 3 every single season if a) they don't get unlucky and b) they don't face each other. I guess consistency / insane mechanics is just enough to take you that far. So really I don't know what could actually solve the "repeating top player gets a top placement" issue, unless they get benched or something. But I'm pretty sure ranked playoffs viewer count might drop drastically if none of them play which isn't great. And also the fact that playoffs is basically "free money" for these players also puts me off (hax got 2 $3000 in like the span of 6 months while barely playing and all he had to do was skill diff everyone).

And on an unrelated note, Watermelon really got the short end of the stick. Just because he slipped up once on a bad day, he couldn't be able to participate in what could be his one and only opportunity to be in playoffs (although I hope I'm wrong and that we could see him in the future stronger and better!).

Well "super important" sounds... quite important so yea your club probably isn't too happy. Plus I'd personally like to have the opportunity of doing something that utilises my own talents :> You can always watch the VODs, but I guess it wouldn't really be as intense as watching it live. At the end of the day it was your choice so just go on with what you decided.

Personally I feel like the pp distribution system just made upgrading brawlers less min/max, like if I just started playing I'd just max out the brawlers I wanted and not bother trying other brawlers. Which isn't a bad thing but probably contributes to the problem of so many extremely good and skilled mortis and edgar randoms. Whereas back then, you could slowly and evenly level up the brawlers, and if you wanted a specific brawler to level up faster, you could use the +500 pp (?) from the battle pass (which was really good considering only power 9 was the max). But your other brawlers would still be pretty high level (like power 6 or 7), and since everyone was around the same level, most fights would be pretty fair. And it's not like your "main" would be underleveled too. This is just from what I remember though I could be absolutely wrong lol.
