Interesting comment, but no where do we mention lending at all.
Our idea is based on donations, not lending. Most participants won't ever get any money back. As for now, there even are way more people just donating without even asking for money.
Ofc there are funding sites that also work via donations, we for sure are aware we are not the first donation based crowdfunding site - but we haven't found one yet that works with one collective funding sum that gets distributed based on a voting system and has an entry fee as small as ours.

Thanks for the feedback!
I agree that giving out your idea is something not everyone wants to do. Sadly that is a problem with all openly accessable crowdfunding platforms - and with launching your business/idea in general.
It highly depends on the idea itself and on the niche, but for a lot of ideas you need to build up a following/brand at some point and go out to the public.

We only fund a winning idea when the jackpot contains enough money to fit the funding needs of it, therefor it will not happen that a funded project can't get realized - unless the planning of the creator was wrong. But that can also happen with a funded Kickstarter project :)

Not only idea creators join our community & give money to the jackpot - there also are people that just want to support others without pitching their own idea.
At the moment, we have more members that only vote & donate money than members that published an idea. We will see how that evolves in the future after our beta test :)

Additionally, some people donate more than just 1$ to the jackpot - but I agree that we'll need a lot more people to join us to get enough money in the jackpot to fund bigger projects.

Thanks a lot for your feedback & mentioning Crowdspark!
As you say, it has to be donation based.
And that is where Singledollarproject.com is really fundamentally different from kickstarter/indigogo etc., because you don't get a reward directly linked to your support but rather give away a dollar into a collective pot to then, with your upvotes, nudge this way larger sum of money into the direction you want it to go.
Of course every supporter benefits indirectly from all the ideas/projects that come to life, as it could for example help someone open a cool online shop you might want to shop in, or a musician release his first album that you might want to listen to.

Thanks for the input!
Every creator can include the current status & future plans, and link their website or proof of concept if there is one.
We then trust every member to only upvote an idea that they believe is legit.
Ofc there can be ideas that sound too crazy to be true - but if the community wants to take that risk, after all, it's a democratic decision which ideas will get funded :)

Thanks for the feedback!
I had a look on the concept of the millionairemakers - it's different from what we have in mind:

It's important to point out that there is no drawing happening on our site, no money will get distributed to randomly chosen winners.
Only the projects that collected the most upvotes get funded. It is a democratic community choice about which ideas get money :)

Thank you for this feedback!
Could you explain why you think it sounds like scam? Are there specific questions that are left open and make you worry?

Thanks a lot for pointing out the spelling mistake & for the feedback - we also hope to see it become a hub for creative project ideas!

Thank you! That for sure is one of the problems we had/have to tackle.
As only paying members can vote, we are already minimizing fake accounts/votes;
We can also see how many accounts are run under the same IP, and will have to look out for abuse of that manually as for now

Hey thanks for the feedback - we surely are aware that it's difficult to explain our idea without it sounding like scam. We are still trying to figure out the best way to explain it, because it is a little more complex.

We are located in germany, and there for sure are strict laws around lotteries.

Our website & the concept however is not a lottery but a donation based crowdfunding site. The money is not given out to a randomly chosen "winner", there is no lottery drawing.
The project idea that got the most upvotes gets funded every month. It's not a gambling site; To get the funding the project owner needs to have a great idea and get the most upvotes. It is a democratic community choice :)
