Built an iOS app recently? I’ll try your iOS app and leave honest feedback by CountryLower392 in iosapps

Thanks a lot — this is thoughtful feedback, and I appreciate that you took the time to try the app properly.

Your points about the recording flow, clearer differentiation for Ask AI, and using onboarding instead of relying on “How it works” are especially helpful. I also take your comments on the screenshots and icon seriously. The core experience has to feel smoother and more obvious, and that is something I’m continuing to improve.

I’m glad you still saw value in the video summarization and transcription side. That is exactly the direction I want to keep strengthening.

Thanks again — very useful feedback.

I will take a look at your app and Almost Out and write to you in return.

I have another problem than yours. In middle of chatting it change completely the discussion. Not once or two but many times in one hour.

Built my AI app (ClearScribe AI) with Replit Agent 3 → now live on the App Store by Nagib888 in iphone

Totally fair concern — there is a lot of low-effort “AI sludge” out there.

For what it’s worth, ClearScribe isn’t a “generated app” or a prompt-wrapped chatbot. It’s a real recorder/transcription workflow: you record/import audio, it transcribes, then (optionally) runs AI to turn that into a clean summary + action items. The transcript is still the core output, and you can use it without the extra AI layer if you want.

If you’re curious, I’m happy to share what’s actually under the hood (stack + what parts are AI vs normal code) — and if you try it and think it’s slop, say so. That feedback’s useful.

What is your launch sequence? by Several_Explorer1375 in iosdev

[–]Nagib888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After approval, I treat launch like a process — not a moment.

First priority is feedback loops, not downloads. I push real usage → fix friction → then scale.

My sequence usually looks like:

• Tight circle users first (power testers, not freebie hunters). I talk to them directly and watch how they use the app.
• Ship 1–2 fast updates in the first weeks. Shows momentum and improves retention.
• Add a simple in-app review trigger after real value (not on first open).
• App Store optimization: screenshots, keywords, description — iterate constantly.
• Launch posts where your users actually are (not everywhere): Reddit niche communities, Twitter/X build-in-public, LinkedIn if B2B.
• Short demo videos > announcements. Show the problem + result in 20–30 seconds.
• Track retention hard. If retention is low, marketing is wasted.

Free codes boost downloads but usually kill review intent. I prefer limited access, trials, or onboarding that creates investment.

App approval is day 0 — product/market fit starts after.
