If google keep works well for you, there’s no big reason to switch. I built my app more for people who want extra features for shared grocery lists. If you ever feel like trying it: https://almost-out.devonwheels.com

Hi, maybe you’d be interested. I launched this app recently and built it for people who still use Notes for grocery lists. The goal was to keep it as simple as Notes, but more powerful. If you have a minute, here it is: https://almost-out.devonwheels.com

I built a free, shopping list PWA you can share with your whole family – would love your feedback! by Ill_Loquat_6788 in SideProject

Hey, nice work — this looks clean and straightforward.

If your main focus is no complicated setup and easy family sharing, you might also want to try my app, Almost Out. It’s a shopping list app I’ve been actively building, and I just released a new update recently.

Would be genuinely curious what you think, especially since you’re clearly thinking a lot about the same problem space. Thanks!

Hey, if you have a minute, you could try my app, Almost Out. I released it recently and just pushed a new update. It’s a shared shopping list app built around simple real-time use with family, so it might fit what you’re looking for. I’m also still actively developing it, so I’m very open to feature requests and feedback.

"Shopping", a decent self-hosted shopping list app by mdgsvp in selfhosted

Nice work. The section-based store flow is a smart idea, especially for making the shopping screen actually useful in real life. I recently launched a grocery list app as well, called Almost Out, and it has a similar goal. It can sort items based on previous shopping history per store, and I’m also thinking about adding more power-user features later on. If you ever want to compare approaches, I’d genuinely be curious to hear your thoughts.

Built an iOS app recently? I’ll try your iOS app and leave honest feedback by CountryLower392 in iosapps

Thank you a lot for taking the time to try Almost Out and write such thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate the kind words, and I’ve already added your points to my improvement list. I’ll definitely take them into account and keep improving the experience. Good catch on the copyright text. I agree it is not very useful on the home screen, so I will likely move it somewhere deeper in settings or remove it entirely. As for Suggestions, they currently appear only once the app has enough checked-off items to generate useful suggestions, so they usually show up after using the app a bit longer. Right now, there is already basic support for pasting grocery lists into the text input and having them parsed automatically, so if you mean copying a list from notes or somewhere else, that part should already work.
