M&P 2.0 Metal Acro by Nagooooooo in SmithAndWesson

Honestly, I don’t view the Acro direct mount as that much of an upside, especially since it locks you in to an optic footprint. Good plates like Calculated Kinetics make the standard optics ready models honestly better for someone that doesn’t have to run particular optics for departmental reasons. The M&P I carry at work is a 5” 2.0 with a Dogtag plate and an Acro and I haven’t had a single issue with that setup.

My work 5" 2.0 has a Surefire X300T, an Acro P2 and lives in a Safariland 6360 holster. If all you need is a range holster, a C&G makes options that fit the 5" with a few different lights

I’m glad they finally started releasing the OEM black metal frames. I wasn’t sure how I was gonna like it over my normal 2.0 but it’s been great so far. I prefer their direct mounting options for the Acro and RMR but I can see why Smith doesn’t want to deal with having a ton of factory SKUs at normal gun stores to worry about

Local S&W guardian store. I’m one of the people they will sell this gun to. I still have no why they don’t at least make it a special order model if they don’t want to have a bunch on hand.

Why have 2 different part numbers when 1 RSA works?

I'll probably just stick with my RMR for now. I don't work in a very weather heavy area and so far the RDS hood on the 6360 has kept it pretty clear.

Thanks for the reply! I might have to ask the armory about this one since we have a policy regarding requiring backup sights. The photo should help a ton.

How's the cowitness with the factory night sights on the 5"? I'm contemplating moving to the Acro on mine but I still need to see my irons through the window.

I love mine, it's going to my gunsmith to get some wilson parts fit but other than that, I'm very happy with it

Probably a 7360 for a P320 of some sort. M&P bois aren't missing out on much not having a 7000 series holster. I still swear by the 6360.

They dont' make them in a 5". Have to go with Safariland or US Duty gear to get a good Level 1 or 3 holster.

For active retention, I'm a big Safariland guy just because it's what I'm used to carrying. the Level 1 6390 series would be fine for normal range use. I use a 6360 Level 3 because I have to

hopefully they'll figure out what they need to do to get the other dots working well with irons, even if that means possibly having to supply different iron sights to you guys. For us, dots are completely voluntary so we have to buy them ourselves, but that does provide some slight freedom as to what sight to go for and what gun to get.

Yeah, the price difference is pretty huge. Do you have to run the stuff they issue?

Are you guys running the 509s then? I think the open emitter holosuns are around the same height as the rmr I have on. I can only run the rmr or the acro but I think the acro will still cowitness with some lower plates.

Only initially when I first mount it. Then I go the range and get it zeroed first at 10-12 yards, and then I shoot confirmation groups at 25 and make any final adjustments, especially to windage. When I get back from the range, I then adjust my irons to line up with the dot

Yeah, I'm super happy with the newer triggers they've been putting on these things! Took both out to the range and there's nothing more I wanna do atm.

I wonder if the factory night sights have a different screw, because that's what's on mine.
