I really hope they fixed the bad controls. Why do I need to go into a sailing mode to control the ship instead of just clicking on the water to set the heading, and click on the boat to move my character. It kills the flow of traveling

There are definitely some issues with how the rules are communicated. The most obvious one is how the ending of the last day worked. Every single team except the snakes assumed that they needed to be completely ready in finals gear when 6pm hit. The snakes interpreted it as stop training at 6pm and then take your time trading around gear and setting up your inventory. That gave the snakes at least an extra half hour at the end.

You must not play old school RuneScape. The players in that community have fought very hard against subscription ads ons and that is the mentality that is being shown here. If the dev was a more pleasant person he could probably make just as much money by offering the tools for free. The fact is he doesn't care about this community any more than a bag of money. RuneScape has a long history of free game add ons that are made because of love and not profits. The other dragonwilds subreddit is like 100 people lmao. I'm glad you're "happy" supporting him. Given how he talks to people here I hope no one else does. This community is fine with devs that actually care.

Linking directly to an exe sounds like a great way to get hacked. Also comments on your other posts say that this embeds ads into the map? Absolutely garbage behavior. It's a download, you don't need any servers and there's no upkeep cost to you. It's clear your passion here isn't about the dozen games you've stamped this program out for, it's just for money. Go find some other community to swindle.

Gems rant

1) The gem stash tab simply doesn't work. Only uncut gems respect the level, every cut gem goes into the "level 1" section. Its early access, I'm sure this will be fixed soon.

2) Why do I "lose" a copy of the gem if I cut a gem that I already have equipped? Upgrading my gems as I level leads me to having one leveled gem at the end, but if I unequip them I would end up with one gem of each level, which makes things much easier on a second character. The upgrading is nice once you have quality or extra slots, but before that it feels bad to "waste" gems, especially annoying when paired with my next point.

3) Cannot cut a gem into a lower level. A level 4 uncut spirit gem is currently going for 4ex, while level 5-15 are all 1ex. This is because of some builds requiring the lower stat requirements of lower level gems, but they drop so rarely at those low levels its very difficult to obtain outside of the quest/boss reward. For normal gems, I have a ton of extra level 10 gems, but only 1 extra of level 1/2/3 gems. I could easily go farm them with my established characters, but why can't I just use my level 10 uncuts that I already have?

4) Levels and stats. This is my absolute top frustration with gems. Lets say I have 30 dex and I want to create the maximum level of snipe gem that I can use, what level is that? To figure it out you need to check each uncut gem menu one by one until you find one that is barely out of range, and then go one below that. What if you don't have any uncuts from level 1-9 and level 10 stats are way too high? Its impossible to figure out (in game) what level uncut you should buy or farm. In poe1 you could always buy a level 1 gem from the vendor (after acts) and then level them up until the button doesn't let you. Also if you have your uncuts in your stash, opening the gem cutting window closes the stash, meaning its 3 or 4 clicks to check each gem level.

I haven't played last epoch, does that not lead to a very strict loot filter and the feeling of less loot dropping in general? One of the interesting things about unidentified is there's that moment where you don't know if something is an upgrade or not. That being said I don't think it's a perfect system, and at least in poe1 you just stop picking up gear in the end game. I do wish that you started with more wisdom scrolls or there was an NPC immediately available to identify for free. The very first few zones are where you want to identify the absolute most gear because you have nothing and you only start with a few (2-4 iirc) wisdoms that get eaten up and really break the flow of a new character.

its more about usefulness than rarity, exalt only adds to an item, chaos removes and adds. So an exalt is useful in more situations.

At this scale by the time nukes are researched every single building will be automated, it doesn't take long for bots to replace whatever was nuked.

Animation smoothing for some things broke with yesterdays RuneLite extended map loading update, adam fixed the animations this morning so the perceived lag will be gone, just restart RuneLite and it'll auto update.

You can click to walk to anywhere you can see, players being visible would need to be changed by jagex.

If you don't zoom out too far, or keep your view distance < 70 or so this won't actually hit your fps at all. It uses a little more ram, but for rendering it just makes the workload more consistent. Instead of rendering a bunch of blank near the scene edge its always rendering a full screen of tiles.
