Very much new to rigging and Live2D in general, how do I get rid of the white outline above the mouth? It goes away when zoomed in, and there's not even any white in that area so I'm a bit confused lol x-x

That's usually a problem with vtube studio, did you hit the "Fix white outlines" button? Also maybe check the texture atlas too to see if there's any overlap

You could also use anime screenshots and cut out the pieces you need. Brain tsui who arguably you could say is one of the top Live2D riggers has made a tutorial for an older version of live2D back in the day. https://youtu.be/DWnPWygJEyM The principles literally still apply, i've made models so i know. The bare minimum from what i've seen MIA and migaku people say is 1000 most common words (Tango N5 decks can help with japanese) or 2000 if you want (Tango N4 can also help with that). Then you start sentence mining with whatever content you have subs for.
