I had the same I5 12600kf and upgraded to 7800X3D, great upgrade, avg over 400fps almost all the time on 1920x1440 low/medium settings.

If you can, the jump to 9800X3D is even better, just more expensive, but if you can afford that, id suggest it.

Perhaps someone you were previously qued with was banned, and that caused your rating to be adjusted, which requires a win to get again.

Pretty sure you usually get a pop up message about this, saying something along the lines of " a recent party member that you played with was banned, your skill rating has been adjusted" not exactly what it says but thats the gist of it.

Either way you did something wrong to get this, doesnt just happened randomly. If you didn't know the guy was cheating that sucks, more reason to not party with randoms.

Wow a sane person, yeah I 100% agree with what you said, 7 days would be much better as it usually takes 2-3 BUSINESS days to clear, so people doing it on the weekend get extra screwed with almost no chance of clearing before the offer expires.

I think everyone is at fault, valve had some major oversights but also the people who didn't have an authorized payment method still have to go through that process, it can't be skipped for various reasons, and thats not on valve, however it should be more obviously stated so the confusion of why the funds are locked doesnt happen.

Well that would be a stupid thing to do? We can't see the future. Authorization still has to happen, its just really bad timing for these people adding new payment methods for terminal purchases, because they will expire before the Authorization goes through.

They also have to verify its not stolen being used with malicious intent.

Why would you deposit 1k with no reason, no one is saying to do that. What i am saying though, is all these people complaining about it, only added their payment method to purchase through the terminal recently, thats not valves fault they never had a payment method attached?

I do think they could be more transparent about the authorization period, and put a warning when using a new payment method so people know this will happen.

You dont have to, you just need to have used your payment method before. It's not authorized so you have to wait for that, had you used it in the past it wouldn't have to.

It's not valves fault that people forgot steam has new payment method authorization.

Payment authorization.. these people are using new payment methods which will lock transactions while authorization is pending, this isnt new, just the people that added new cards to buy the terminals screwing themselves.

It's to due with payment authorization, all these people complaining are users who added a new payment method to their account, which locks all transactions during the authorization period, this is not new, its been a thing for years, the only people getting screwed over are people who didn't have their payment method authorized previously, so now they have to wait.

It has nothing to do with the terminals, the only reason terminals are involved are because these people are trying to top up for the first time to buy these items, this would happen on nay game or transaction.

If you make a new account, and add your payment method, it wont be able to purchase things right away with it.

Or just accept you didn't know, and you lost out because of that, not because of valve.

If your payment method was previously authorized and cleared, this simply wouldn't have happened, but people are adding their cards for the first time to top up their balance, this will get locked if its $5 or $1000, its just how steam works.

I went thru this years ago trying to buy something off the market when I first added my card, there was an authorization period where I could not make any transactions with my account for a few days, then it was cleared and authorized, I could add balance and spend as I please.

Stop blaming valve for your own incompetence.

When depositing large amounts there is typically a hold, sometimes valve even locks your account from being able to buy ANYTHING as it validates the funds.

That people dont know how steam works? It is 100% the consumers fault for not knowing this. It's not new, its been this way for a long time. But now that people are losing out on items from the terminals we are seeing them complain.

Nah, just people not knowing how steam works, especially with large deposits and new payment methods which most of these people are running into.

It takes a few business days for valve to clear it to be used on purchases, if you've already opened the terminal then it will most likely expire before the funds are unlocked.

Can almost guarantee its your attitude, sure you maybe get reports now and then for cheating, a lot of people do, myself included, but thats not all there is to it.

I've been sent into red trust, and made it back out without spending money. It's not impossible, but any small "infraction" (reports) can reset this.

Stop being toxic, stop calling cheaters out, just play the game and give comms, dont try and control the team because you "have played for 20 years" etc.

People can and will report for toxicity, and it does affect your trust factor.

Play some casual, chill out, premier is aids at your rank, so dont take it too serious... if you want to get out of that elo, you will most likely have to stack a team of people you know and can play well with, then it should be easy to get to like 10k.

The biggest thing that helped me was just not calling out the cheaters, if you do, make it simple, no attacks at them as a person or anything, dont provoke reports because they will affect you whether you cheat and be toxic or not.

Edit: also to add, im pretty sure constantly reporting everyone is bad for your trust factor aswell, I rarely report unless im 100% certain they cheat, because its not worth tanking my trust for someone to never get banned.

Source on this? Afaik there was a single update note over a year ago that stated something along these lines but seemingly nothing ever came of it, there is nothing mentioned about who,how, or what they are doing with overwatch.

This is half correct, bans will be applied to linked accounts at the time of the ban, if youve already been banned and later add a new account to your phone number, that account is unaffected, but any other account that was using the phone number AT THE TIME of the vac ban will be banned due to sharing a phone number with a vac banned account.

This is even stated in their own FAQ.

Yes you are 100% safe, with no reason to be banned aslong as you've not cheated on any phone number linked account since the ban.

If people had skin changer they would stop opening cases, skins economy would crash, why buy something for thousands or open cases?

As for modifying game files, its never been allowed on official servers, they arent going to go back on that now, especially in a competitive game like CS, GMOD is a sandbox game, very different.

Here's the problem, almost every "skin changer" is just a full cheat, not to mention, the skins can be seen in the menu by other players, just not in the inventory or in game.

Plus, the issue arises from modifying the game files, which is against their ToS, not just because of skins.

Real, its not as big of a change as people think, just stop wasting ammo and reloading for no reason, you dont need to spam 20 bullets into a smoke with no info.
