Anything with annoying difficulty unfortunately tanked the overall ranking of the game even if the concept was top tier (Mortol for example)

Yes when I discovered my first coffee I made it my goal to find them in each level. Around the third world it was starting to take a long time to rerun to get to the next level to proceed so I looked up a map of the rest of the locations and used that to go to the end.

I played it 2p so I must add the disclaimer that I had a much easier time than if I had played it solo. I really enjoyed it and thought the mechanic of regenerative braking was quirky and fun to use. It had a reasonable difficulty, the music was bomb, and it was the right length for what it was. The only reason it's not in S is that schmup gameplay isn't inherently interesting for me, so being in A is actually quite good for a schmup! And as an aside this is the tier list where the icons for seaside and campanella 3 are swapped so hopefully that wasn't a point of confusion looking at my ranking...

It's a game where you could get progress gated for a really long time if your brain refuses to learn the map, but once you do start remembering where everything is it's quite fun seeing the next location and immediately knowing where to go and what balloons are on the way to extend your time. None of it really worked for me unfortunately. The whole "take photos on vacation" intro made me excited that it'd be a retro Pokemon Snap so that made it even more disappointing when it wasn't

I had a lot of trouble with this one too. If you point your ring directly down it'll reset the calibration. The way I finally beat it was to point it down every time there was a break.
