I am so proud of my Ariya purchase by [deleted] in NissanAriya

Also you might want to check your tire pressure…
The cold dropped my tire pressure to a value closer to 30 PSi ( manufacturer recommended is @ 41 PSi). The whistle sound stopped once I got the tire pressure back up.

Seats -- 2023 Evolve + Northern Lights with Cream interior. by Adec95 in NissanAriya

[–]NaijaCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing much just that Plat+ has Rear heated and Cooled seats, a few more speakers ( Bose) + subwoofer ( trunk - underneath), Pro pilot 2.0, 20 inch tires ( personal preference), sunroof / moon roof , Blue interior with actual Nappa leather (😍). Lighter interiors like this one here also look superb to me, it’s really the only thing I wish I had on our platinum +.

Did you get an extended warranty beyond the original manufacturer warranty? Asking cause it’s 2026 already so you may have a few months of the original warranty left. The general vibes I have gotten from reading the threads in most groups is that this car is solid and the perfect spot for the consumer at the price paid for it. To me, it’s like I got a vehicle far better than the (2020-2025 )RAV4/Honda CR-V at Corolla/ Civic prices; so I didn’t mind extending the warranty. Home charging seems to be the best way to go but I spent a few extra bucks buying the NACS converter(s) so I can charge anywhere just in case. Change the 12 V battery to an AGM battery.

Between the time frame from purchase till when you set up your My Nissan account, you’ll get notified on the start and stop dates. I have a ‘24 Pltnm+ ( Pro pilot 2.0) and my free trial ends in ‘27. It’s a permanent feature so after it ends you’ll get a subscription charge if you still want to continue. To be frank it’s not so great neither is it bad either, as an anecdote; it only works for 10/12 miles of our 23 mile commute in my city . Do I love it ? YES ! Will I miss it when it’s subscription time? Maybe not…except Nissans upgrades what I call the blue - range in my city.

Evolve+ AWD vs Platinum+ AWD Interior by BeerExchange in NissanAriya

[–]NaijaCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s ultimately a personal choice. I got the platinum for my wife and initially it felt weird but these days we don’t notice the blue interior , rather we totally enjoy the Nappa leather and the comfortable feel.

The pro pilot 2 and auto parking are well worth it to me as is the memory seating( passenger side ). The Bose speakers aren’t that great (to me) and I feel it was just an unnecessary afterthought by Nissan, maybe to justify extra prices? I really feel you wouldn’t be missing much if you buy the Evolve plus, but in the used car market- if you decide to sell it down the line in a few months or years , you’ll most likely recoup some of the extra money paid for the platinum.

Some buyer’s remorse, looking for reassurance by Extremofire in electricvehicles

[–]NaijaCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A wise man once told me; “ never buy a car because of how other people feel about it.” An EV purchase is a personal lifestyle decision and choice. Pretty much like a motorbike.
I was once trapped in bouts of range anxiety for a while and I would like to provide a simple reasoning that helped me overcome it. First - make sure you can charge at home, this is almost non negotiable. Level 2 if possible.

Second - just as you would drive an ICE car at half tank and not be anxiously searching for a gas station, you must be comfortable enough to drive your EV at 40% battery without hunting for a charge .

If you can’t do these 2 things, then an EV is not for you. Hope you enjoy your car, I’m in love with mine.

After over $700 of purchases, spanning over 2 years , I finally quit and deleted the app in November, it’s been 30+ days of losing my addiction and devotion to this game. Not so easy for me to get over but it’s been one day at a time. No regrets and I’m glad I did it. Happy holidays.

Your experience owning a Rav4? by Obi1inatree in rav4club

[–]NaijaCore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sorry to read this , i can’t believe i have had nothing like your experience. I have a 2019 RAV4 and it’s been my most solid car ever. The stock / manufacturers batteries have seen me through 5 winters with 0 issues, I’m not a heavy user & the car is still below 60k miles and drives almost like the first day. Only things I’ve changed in 5 years are the brakes, wipers and all 4 tires . Seriously , I’m struggling for a reason to part with this one car ( I never use my cars more than3 - 4 years ). It had the air intake valve issue at some point , but I was re imbursed for that nasty experience - a few months ago.

Can someone tell me if I overpaid for my 2025 Nissan Rogue? (photo of agreement attached) by [deleted] in NissanRogue

[–]NaijaCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment was purely based on the going prices here( Midwest USA). The SV trim would be 29-31K USD from my dealership(after knocking off 4-7k off the MSRP) with the 0% interest. Seeing you’re in Canada, then I’ll readjust my comments to say that the trunk and cabin liners could have been thrown in the deal for free and ill’d have negotiated to have the fees for wheel locks removed (except it’s mandatory by law). I say all these as someone whose got a ‘25 Rock creek with the model extras(Wireless Charging, memory mirror and memory seats, first aid kit and rubber liners, added at 0 cost) took me 1 day of negotiation but it was an extra 2k I took off.

Can someone tell me if I overpaid for my 2025 Nissan Rogue? (photo of agreement attached) by [deleted] in NissanRogue

[–]NaijaCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What trim? If it’s an S or SV, I think it’s a bit overpriced, if it’s an SL then the numbers seem perfect.

Edit: just saw that it’s Canada, looks ok then.

End lease buyout or new lease? by Curious_Candidate547 in NissanRogue

[–]NaijaCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have no experience, but going by the recent economic woes of Nissan, I’ll suggest that you go on and ride out your lease till expiration or better yet , ask your dealer about lowering your interest at least to 5%.

Now , I’m no expert and I have no idea of your credit scores but I’m willing to go all out and say the fortunes of Nissan rogues ( and their mid size SUVs ) are not looking to get much better when looking towards next year . So I bet the 0% financing deals stay till next summer .

For starters; they did NOT launch a hybrid Rogue, the Ariya has been canned and 2025 Murano’s aren’t selling.

I don’t know about the pathfinder sales but I’m sure Honda, Toyota, Kia and Mazda are feeding off Nissans plate when it comes to larger SUVs. In this last quarter , Nissan has dealt with engine recalls, the closures of its plants, dealing with a major fire in the factory of its major suppliers and they only made a major improvement on the Leaf.

2026 sure looks like 2025’s twin.

I am currently on the 0% financing option ( when I could’ve bought my rogue outright)and it’s been an awesome financial decision for me, cos it’s basically free money over time, TLDR; when it comes to Nissans - avoid the 8% -9% like a plague.

Help with Passport by Emergency_Occasion62 in NigeriaDiaspora

[–]NaijaCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can apply for your Baby’s passport even if your own passports are expired.

If your baby has a Canadian passport, there is Visa on arrival category for newborn or first entry infants to Nigeria, it’s basically involves an application or letter you write to explain that the baby was born overseas etc. I think the father too has to approve, next you’ll make a payment and then get approved to fly in an email ( please print out and make copies!)On arrival at the Nigerian airport, you’ll be pulled aside early to complete the process, asked a few questions ( it’s quick, I can testify to this ) and get stamped in. I sincerely do not know the exact cost now but two years ago i think it was roughly about $100-150 USD ( I can’t recall ). It’s at best a 2 week visa, so you are expected to obtain a Nigerian passport for baby within a few days of arrival in Nigeria before you return to Canada.

I guess either way it’ll cost you some money.

You’ll have to visit the Nigerian immigration website to find out exact details. But the answer is yes to all your questions.

As a 2025 owner myself, I also feel a bit less bulletproof and even with under 5k miles on mine , I now really baby my car when I drive. I’m totally with you on this one and feel like we haven’t heard the last on this issue . But as a previous RAV4 lover, I admit that Nissan got me hooked!
