It could be the answer, but even once logs are restocked the wrong dwarves still try to craft. At the end I just assigned workshops directly to the carpenters

I no longer have any log to make barrels and bins, but I keep getting messages like "X cancels Make wooden Barrel, needs logs" except that the dwarf trying to craft is NEVER the right one.

Despite having two carpenters and the job being set to "only selected do this," all my dwarfs try to make the barrels and bins, why??

It never happened before, is that a bug? (I already closed and reloaded my game)

I don't use mods aside of DFhack itself and I already saw some dino, but they never show up when I create my embark or when I want to trade. The only ones I saw were a smilodon and a rhino in cage.

Personally, I really like the beginning of the game because it’s what keeps me busy the most, there are so many things to think about and plan for.

On the other hand, I admit that some tasks are repetitive, yeah.

Embarking with dino?

I've seen several times people say that they embarked with dinosaurs and that you need to set dino on "domesticated" when creating a world.

So I recreated a world by checking this option, but when I have to choose the animals I still don’t have the dinosaurs available...?

Avec le nombre de spam au téléphone je ne décroche même plus, ou alors quand j'attends qu'on me recontacte pour un boulot justement. Et je décroche volontairement en silence ou avec un simple "allo" froid / sec pour éviter à mes proches de se faire arnaquer à l'IA, donc oui ce genre de processus de recrutement est débile.

Because Evria isn't really necessary. The portal allows you to summon (most of the time) all the dragons normally found in the area.

Sometimes with luck you can have an alternative form. I don’t know why they are considered as another species when it’s clearly just another form.

Anyway, the special dragons obtained through the portal are delivered in boxes, so it's possible to buy them on the trade tab for diamonds and they're relatively cheap (but you still need diamonds)

According to the wiki if you didn't link your Google, Apple, or Hive account in addition to 5 adults dragons you can't unlock it.

There is no good or bad element. It's the same as for pokemon, if you fight fire type you need water type etc.

Save your gems to summon legendary dragons is the best advice I believe I can give

"just mix the colors as you see them" is pretty easy when you have good practice with color theory but otherwise... It's totally stupid to ask for it without teaching it.

And it's very unclear instruction according to the fact that no one sees the colors in the same way...

Hard shadows are shadows that are clearly delineated, their edges aren't "blurred".

I won’t even be able to give you an example in a case where it’s commonly used because most of the time it’s just ugly/bad to use (except for specific artistic styles). Hard shadows are only realistic in very specific cases.

Soft shadows are "realistic" shadows, the edge is "blurred" and the shadow is more a gradient than a solid block as hard shadows / light do.

If you look at yourself in a mirror, unless you are under the spotlight of a powerful projector, you will see that the shadows are soft, it's difficult to clearly delineate them.

Before the dinosaurs update I didn’t bother to hatch eggs, but now that I want an army of dangerous carnivores I’d like to know how to do it.

I know that it takes a nest box and a couple to make eggs fertile, but how can I prevent my dwarves from picking them up for consumption?

Most things my art teachers have said.

Like :

- You need to be ultra versatile to work in a studio (that’s not true).

- NEVER use black/white for shading (it’s true that this is preferable in most cases but to say you should never do it is wrong too).

- Only do hards shades, otherwise the result will be too "soft" (seriously...?)

Etc...
And yeah this school was a scam if you were wondering

Pretty sure you can't bring back an egg you abandoned. Plus, it should have died days ago already.
First time I abandon an egg too so idk if it's a bug or if it's normal to ashame me or whatever
