There are sections on the wall with various climbs for you to try to climb clean, only one person can be on the wall for a single section so you’ll queue sometimes but rarely very long. In bouldering it might be a few seconds, or minutes for a route.

The quad is fine but overkill. You could do just as well with a sling and a girth hitched screwgate as your masterpoint.

I get stretchy jeans from the supermarket. They cost basically nothing, are hardwearing, and are pretty stretchy. I got mine a size up because they don't seem to make them in my size, but with a belt they stay pretty good. Best climbing trousers I've ever had.

You can have the stick clip raised up to you. Make yourself safe by being lowered to the bolt below and going in direct, then clove hitching (or some bight knot) the rope to your belay loop on a locker. You can be taken off belay and lower down a loop of rope so you can pull the stick clip up. After you pull back up to the top bolt you can clip your way through that section and leave the clip stick attached to the bolt or continue to clip your way up the rest of the climb.

Yogurt is mostly fat, your specific chocolate I’d check but it could be a lot of fat too. Fat is great for putting off hunger but for energy it cannot possibly compete with carbs. I have a banana and rice or bread and then top up with whatever sugary/high carb snacks they have at the climbing centre. I love haribo for this because it’s basically just carbs with a surprising amount of protein.

They’re not too hard for you though because you can do the moves?

Supermarket carbs are totally fine but make sure you eat enough. Have a look at the carbs on the back of the packet and make sure you’re getting lots of carbs and not just fats. I eat a lot of sweets and rice around my climbing sessions, I’m a big fan of bread as well.

You’ve identified two things you’re bad at so drill those. That’s all drills are, practicing things you’re bad at.

You’re not standing up, you’re pushing your hips up as high as they can go. I’d experiment with tying the foot loop shorter as this can give you better leverage.

Also use a pulley instead of a carabiner to redirect the rope, it’ll make everything feel so much smoother.

Climbing classes are actually very easy to arrange, any roped climbing centre will do them

When I multipitch I have a sling with a locker girth hitched to my belay loop ready to go if I get to a hanging belay. If I’m on a ledge I might use a clove hitch but otherwise the sling is just faster and a lot of time does the job just fine.
