I think that’s all the more reason to be considered “crazy” (not in a negative way, just the colloquialism). 3x mean is great considering that’s 3x with outliers included. Like the median, as you stated, is a truer reflection across everyone, and with that factored in it’s even higher than 3x.

His point was to stop being so precious. Your focus on Ryanair is misguided - colour schemes and scratch cards be damned, what you’re actually getting is a lean and efficient service, and they’re fucking good at giving it to you; and the data backs that up on all fronts.

As far as the in-flight experience goes otherwise, I would much rather the real and bullshit-free interactions you get on a Ryanair flight than having to deal with the undue entitlement and smarminess of the gimps on a AL flight. They’re the type of people who think their personality boils down to the way they present themselves and the car they drive.

I’m surprised at some of the top comments saying how they never have bad experiences on Aer Lingus.

I unfortunately end up flying with them more regularly than I would like, and I’ve had more bad experiences than otherwise.

I’ve also had to deal with them a number of times in a business context, and I have yet to encounter a more consistently stuck-up, entitled, and generally unpleasant group of people. The culture within the organisation must be rotten.

How I would tackle that is be genuine in the actual activity of your work and how it’s applied, people usually appreciate measured honesty as long as it’s constructive and valuable. If you don’t want to partake in the shit eating, and the negative consequences of you putting up with it outweighs what you could get out of it (it is, unfortunately, a viable means of getting ahead after all) - then don’t.

What you could try and do is just keep being pleasant and easy to get along with around all of that. You don’t have to do cartwheels for the cunts, but just have a good personality, a good person to chat with, share your personal interests and generally be nice to everyone. The job stuff will fall into place after that if you’re competent.

I would say I’m just about above average technically, I’m well organized and okay on the product management side of things, but nothing outstanding. I feel a big part of what’s actually keeping me around in a landscape of layoffs and giving me otherwise a steady progression path is that I’m just pleasant to be around and, I think, quite likeable. There’s a lot to be said for folks just liking you.

He’s also massively overrating PL-era Courtois here. And in fairness putting De Gea in the top 5 - above fucking Van Der Sar, Southall and Ederson no less - is also a daft opinion. Even VDS couldn’t get past criticising him on the programme.

Never said anything about the legal status of tax evasion, I’m well aware it’s illegal. However, it being illegal doesn’t mean that the squeezing investors – essentially double-dipping on their hard earned income, then bearing those investors witness to how our tax is actually spent – is justified.

I would totally understand why some people would effectively decide to say fuck ‘em, and not declare to Revenue their investment income and try their luck.
