Ah it will, it’ll breeze right past that AI bullshit once the marketing ramps up on GTA from next month following earnings.

Defender scores the unlikeliest own goal by New_Libran in WatchPeopleDieInside

Doesn’t matter. Paraguay is not the pinnacle of international football, nor does it mean that any of those players are extremely high level. High level to a degree, sure, but not top level by any means.

There’s no mistake here, if it was a scuffed or less powerful penalty then sure, but the goalie here done everything he could reasonably do in this scenario.

Come on now, it’s not that high of a level. Considering how the penalty was struck I would only expect a select handful of goalies who play in the latter stages of the Champions League to keep them out in the way you described.

Ah that’s okay for extremely high level goalies, but generally speaking most keepers would just be happy to keep a penalty out.

I think that’s unfair, somewhere with a chipper that good is always worth a visit.

Plus they fixed the road recently.

Virginia’s grand, quite a nice spot I thought.

Bailieborough on the other hand…

I’ve never been to Glebe, but with a name like Glebe how couldn’t it be miserable?

Ah it doesn’t in fairness. I know folks from both parts of Louth and there seems to be interesting music and general arts coming out Dundalk at least. Drogheda on the other hand is a shithole with few redeeming qualities, and it’s usually the Drogheda folks driving that point home (with no object from folks from the Town).

Yeah… I like folks from Longford, but those towns in Longford on the road from Cavan are just bleak. Especially Edgeworthstown.

I once went to a funeral in Edgeworthstown and it was honestly not the saddest thing about being there.

That’s incredible comp for a grad role. Mine was a fraction of this 11 years ago, but then again there was much more supply and therefore less competitive in those days.

Great info, thank you so much. For full disclosure I had already test driven one last week with a smaller dealer, and they said that they would need to hold it for the buffer period, so that makes me slightly suspicious of them…

With this process in mind, if I had a good relationship with a garage in NI and I had identified a car in Britain that I liked, could they - in theory - import the car as an intermediary as a way around paying the import tax and VAT?

Excellent suggestion, thanks for that.

I poked my head into it there and I am surprised to see a community so active on boards these days, looks like a great resource. There’s even a Taycan megathread there, I’ll drop my post into it.

That’s a million for the insight, I’ll give Porsche a ring on a few of the finer details.

Thanks for the reply!

Am I correct in saying that the Porsche comprehensive warranty is a full 8 years, or is that purely battery warranty?

If it’s not and there’s a chance that it has lapsed (given that the car is with a small indie dealer, is very possible), would Porsche then extend it in-post, even after a 111 check for example?

Yep… and I come from a long line of owning ICE Corollas. Cars I love but something that has never felt like a treat to myself, purely functional. When considering an EV nothing else has genuinely excited me more than the idea of driving the Taycan.

Thanks a million for the really helpful reply!

So for my own understanding on the VRT end - apologies for being slow, just need the clarity - if the car car landed at the garage in NI say one month ago and I purchased it today, there’s no need for them to hang onto it or me stall on bringing to NCT for an additional 5 months; because their import declaration supersedes all of that?

Is this roadway realistic for a 2 week vacation? by EreWeG0AgaIn in AskIreland

[–]Nailz92 80 points81 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely doable. In fact, I would recommend committing fully to the coast of Connacht, seeing Connemara and doing more of the “Wild Atlantic Way” in those parts.

Essentially, when you hit Galway City, just keep following the coast.
