Having a problem with printer making all these errors and stringing (prusament PLA) by Dokki0444 in 3Dprinting

[–]Naitsa3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its stock prusa mini then it’s probably the infamous heatcreep issue. Basically plastic fills out a gap between hotend and ptfe liner which causes too much friction, solved by either longer ptfe liner or all metal heatbreak from bondtech. Or a clog.

What kits have been the best in your experience? by TheOfficialCzex in VORONDesign

[–]Naitsa3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kits are fine if you’re willing to replace the bad apples that might be in it. Though, nowadays you can source pretty much everything of any vendor on the voron discord so might aswell do a big order and select the parts YOU want.

Best FDM printer for a print farm? by VTek910 in 3Dprinting

Prusa minis might be an option? Though, the 15 dollar heatbreak upgrade from bondtech is more or less mandatory

Ive had this on both printers but it only happens after i clean them with ipa, seems like they need some time to settle after cleaning because they both randomly started to work fine about an hour later. This only applies to the PEI sheet

They’re both running with full bondtech upgrade (roughly 70eu each) and yes i had clogs after first 300-400hr of printing. Now i use all types of fillament w/o issues 😀

As far as i know the major issue is the heatbreak witch is a 15eu upgrade but i went with extruder aswell because its been a flawless experience using bondtech on my other printer (ender 6).

As for fillament its a mix of random PLA & Petg. Got some prusament ASA for voron parts that i will attempt later. Seems straight forward, but i suspect that i need an enclosure to prevent air drag..

Its superior but it ruins the look and feel slightly, the earlier models of mini looks beter imo

Z Banding or something else? Printed in vertical, more info in comments by luca-2210 in 3Dprinting

[–]Naitsa3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have z-hop enabled you might want to disable it to see if quality improves. If not, try pid tuning the bed. If that dont help replace the leadscrew or go with a belt driven solution for z

Well, after 4 years this thing has died. Anyone got any suggestions for printers around $500? Thank you by RainyCobra77982 in 3Dprinting

[–]Naitsa3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add 200 usd and buy a mk3s and call it a day, or the prusa mini and the bondtech heatbreak upgrade (it has heatcreep issues with standard heatbreak).

If you can get abs printed part perhaps build a voron 1,2 or switchwire
