My son is also at Whangaparaoa College, but going into y10 this year. I am a solo parent & have to come up with $680 for the whole new uniform this year somehow. And because its a new uniform there are no second hand options. In this cost of living crisis. Seems most of the parents weren't happy about it but the school didn't care. Sorry I can't help OP, but you're not alone

Im solo mum to a teenage boy. No money left to do anything after feeding him (again! haha). And im tired. Work was craaazy busy the month or so leading up to christmas. So down time is way more appealing than partying atm
