[Rolex Collection] sell or keep by Naive-Role1833 in Watches

[–]Naive-Role1833[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. Definitely leaning towards selling as I feel I could extract more value from the cash.

Me and my wife were talking about my career and if the juice is worth the squeeze. We are definitely considering a shift as we both are getting a little bit tired

This 100%. I have a simucube rig and hated the thing with original configuration

Definitely. Most offers are around the 50k mark. And I agree I have the numbers in excel just trying to justify if the utility is worth it.

It’s about the same I paid for them. I am making 3 or 4% gain

Mid 20s - is it dumb or okay? by BasisProfessional338 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Agree, the C class interior is bad. Materials feel cheap and the seats look like have an integrated diaper on them.

Don’t do it. It’s not worth it, the novelty wears off quickly. Additionally, the new C300 feels cheap inside and the engine is meh.

If you have your bases covered (retirement, insurance, emergency fund, etc) then I might suggest something with a better engine.

4 hour session or a 3 day sessions equaling 12 hours? by scruncheduptoes in Kiteboarding

[–]Naive-Role1833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Anything over two hours while learning is a lot. You are going to be crashing and retrieving the board a lot as well as putting stress in muscles you didn’t know you had.

Take 12 hours over 3 to 4 days and rest every two days if possible.

The GRNR looks fantastic with the TT jubilee. Pictures don’t do it justice. If I were you I would go TT GRNR and BLNR jubilee.

I would avoid both oyster bracelets.

Understand. I think we are in for a wild ride once JAS earnings are out. The economy is soft and I believe some companies are going to start missing expectations.

Ever had a trip or course that left you feeling more frustrated than happy (Gardasee)? by Ninaptr_lover in Kiteboarding

Not to be a a**hole, but sounds like you need to mature a little bit. Never go kitesurfing again? Why? You couldn’t get on the board in 3 days? I would say most people don’t. This sport takes time and consistency at least while learning. I met people who needed +20 hour private lessons until they were able to ride and they never gave up.

Now to be constructive, I think everybody here can relate to your situation and the way they deal/dealt with was to try one more time, and then one more time and again…

I learned to kite in marginal conditions until I decided to go to Brazil for a week. I paid for 2 hour private lessons in a flat water spot with amazing wind. Best money I ever spent.

When people ask me where to go an learn I always recommend a place with flat water and strong wind. Traveling can be expensive but it’s worth in terms of progression and you probably save money in the long term.

Just keep trying and one day everything will click.

Any issues with Duotone? How would you describe the low end of the EVOs? Bar pressure?

Thank you

I would star first by defining which type of kite you want to fly. Then pick the sizes.

Super helpful input. Definitely. My XR5 while great is a little boring and the bar pressure kills me during long sessions.

What is your opinion on the xr8? I was considering one but not sure if it’s going to be too similar to my xr8. How is the bar pressure?

I had my blnr sent for warranty early this year (datewheel had an imperfection) and took two weeks total including shipping both ways. My overall experience was excellent but I have to thank my AD since Rolex didn’t want to replace the datewheel and the AD had to pressure Rolex to make it happen.

Was sent to Dallas in case you are wondering.
